Too bad that Africa was deprived of another 200 years of colonialism. Compare with India, for instance, where the longer British rule accomplished bringing many western concepts and norms into the mainstream.

Now I really don't see a hope for it. Maybe a huge revival type movement? One can understand the attraction of Islam for a lot of these tribes and people.

Wrong comparison dude, India has a far more older culture than Africa, bar Egypt, far older than the English. But yeah, the Brit rule did some good bringing India out of the morass it sank into after theIslamic invasions sapped the life out of the country (thank God it didn't succeed in completely conquering the country as what happened in Iran). The only thing that will save Africa is garrisons of European or US troops. That isn't going to happen. The other thing would be prayer. Now with that, anything is possible.
