On the CBS Evening News a bit ago, reporter David Martin broke an exclusive that the Iraqi leader who may have met with Mohamed Atta in Prague prior to his terrorist attack on 9/11 has been caught. It will be interesting to see if he says anything.

I say tear off his pants, and put him in a stock in the middle of United Nations Plaza in San Fran.

"That is almost always what happens. I hope he spilled the beans about the 9-11 raiders."If it's true. Salman Pak comes to mind. That would be a gold mine for the War on, er, Liberation of Iraq (which was already justified)...

When I saw that news, I let out a low whistle....we may find out one way or another if he & Atta met.

He's on your FReeper addition list!
You should add Ahmad Hikmat Shakir to your list-- last seen heading home to Iraq before the war. Shakir was detained briefly in Jordan a few weeks after 9/11 when a review of his passport showed he had recently traveled to Malaysia, Pakistan and Yemen. According to U.S. intelligence sources cited by Newsweek, Shakir took part in the January 2000 al Qaeda "summit" in Malaysia, also attended by two of the September 11 hijackers.

this is the guy who was in charge of Hussein's covert actions -- I'll bet that Ben Nelson statements about finding out what happened to Speicher had something to do with this guy's capture.

I've tried to figure out the high-disinformation environment of the denials of any meeting. Best I can think is that some US intel agency knew of the information but is trying to blur it because they didn't act on it.
CYA, in other words, though I'd excuse any "mistake" on hindsight.

Actually, it was confirmed "directly" by Bubba himself in a live interview. It was also confirmed in another live interview by "oh, what's her name"??, Clinton's Secretary of State

Aloha Ronnie........This in MY opinion is THE SMOKING GUN of a corrupt and failed administration. One built on GREED and LUST, while allowing our nation's security to become a 10 story pile of RUBLE where the WTC once stood.
One can JUST imagine this being FRONT PAGE NEWS for YEARS if it were proven to be done under a republican administration. There would be NO END to the specials dedicated to the REAL REASON for 911 or 911 PREVENTIBLE? YES! Many books would be written, the Socialists would be OUT IN FORCE and their rage would be unquenchable.

You forgot the picture of Helen Thomas...in case he's a tough nut to crack! And if he's real tough, then bring in Miss Thomas' girlfriend Janet Reno!!

I say tear off his pants, and put him in a stock in the middle of United Nations Plaza in San Fran. Hmm, I dunno, he might LIKE that! How about putting him in the stocks alright, but at ground zero in New York City? Or maybe better yet, outside the Pentagon, which is in Virginia, where law abiding people can have guns. Rules of Engagement: no headshots, min range 50 yards, revolvers only, and nothing larger than .22 CB cap ... with properly "lubed" bullets of course.

The Barney CD "I love you!" or the Barney critter with the song built in and ample amounts of Versed IV in a continuous drip will work wonders in just minutes.

You just gave me the best idea. Since they insist on building the new towers with large hollow upper floors...
Let's turn these hollow upper floors into a prison. House these little bastards on the top floors with large windows so that they can spend the rest of their days staring out at the greatness of the nation below them.

I respect that reporter......about the only one I respect on CBS quite frankly.
He did another story after that about the WH admitting some intelligence was wrong and actually did it in a balanced way.

Don't have cable (believe me, I would watch Fox if I did, but parents don't want to pay for it).
