I agree. It is a marvelous book. Like any human Senator McCarthy had some flaws, and Ann chooses not to dwell on those flaws. There's nothing wrong with that -- he's been criticized quite enough. Ann focuses on the fact that McCarthy was doing the right thing and she's got plenty of facts backing up the concept that McCarthy was doing the right thing.

I consider him an American hero. He wouldn't be the first flawed hero in the world.

Joe was demonized by the COMMIE LOVING LEFT, and made a fool by the COMMIE LOVING MEDIA, he was a flawed human but his 'rantings' were PROVED correct by the Venona projects recent release of Top Secret papers. The COMMIE LOVING LEFT and the COMMIE LOVING MEDIA owe Joe an apology. Don't hold your breath.
