[history]
Ben & Jerry's has introduced a new line of ice cream called "Organic Ben & Jerry's" in select stores in Boston and San Francisco. As part of the campaign, Ben & Jerrys says "your body will thank you" for "ice cream made without use of conventional pesticides or growth hormones. (Whew!)."

I inferred from the headline a new policy toward gays.

An enterprising lawyer should sue B&J for making people fat.

I am a Republican and, therefore, will not eat ice cream without a generous portion of pesticides. ;-)

When I think of Ben Cohen and fudge brownies, my stomach gets a little queasy.

My wife unwittingly used a coupon for "free" Ben & Jerry's. Ever since, we've been getting mass mailed with all this liberal cause corporation pitches. The basic idea is that if you switch your phone service, internet service, credit cards, banking, auto insurance, etc..... to this list of companies, you are assuring that all the profits go to support liberal causes and "Recapturing the Whitehouse and congress".
Actually I like the idea. The moneys will be stolen long before the political arm gets them(unless they take on more debt to pay the DNC) and the subscribers/customers will not then contribute above the amount they send when paying their bills each month.
I also think this may be a way around campaign finance laws but I'm not sure since I have not done my homework on this other than filling the return reply envelopes with manure and mailing them back.

"produced without growth hormones, antibiotics and dangerous pesticides." Back in the day they never needed this stuff, of course the average human lifespan was 45 years. I guess you have to live to 80 or 90 before this "bad" stuff kicks in and kills ya.

An enterprising lawyer should sue B&J for making people fat. No doubt! Ice cream has got to be worse than Oreos.

Well, don't you find a certain irony in opening a can of tuna with a label claiming no dolphins were injured while slaughtering this tuna? I mean celebrating dolphins has become the same as killing tuna.
What's next? Cat safe milk? Groundhog safe steaks?
It's a line out of the series of books by Gene Brewer in which "prot" from k-pax has arrived on earth to record observations of our planet. In the movie "prot" was played by Kevin Spacey. The second book, "On a Beam of Light" has not (yet) been made into a movie. Both books were excellent.

Yes, but the demographics of ice cream eaters is really in the adult range. Oreos on the other hand are in the "kids" range. If you legislate oreo content you just piss off little judy who does not yet vote. You mess with my Breyers coffee ice cream and I'll not only vote mean, I'll kill ya.

I can't get Breyers products where I live in Wisconsin and they think ice cream is some complex concoction with crumbs, bits, chunks, ripples, gum, candy, and moose trax in it. It's a crime to the tastebuds.
I fly down to Chicago and load up with Breyers Coffee, Vanilla, Peach, and Strawberry ice cream in my plane and quick fly it home to the freezer before it even feels the heat.

Everyone must surely know about the CONSERVATIVE alternative to Ben & Jerrys: http://www.starspangledicecream.com/
The only real alternative is Haagen Daz (Vanilla Swiss Almond! best ice cream ever made).
