BAGHDAD — L. Paul Bremer, the top U.S. administrator in Iraq, yesterday hailed the opening of the Interim City Advisory Council in Baghdad as a major step toward local and national government.
He also saluted the courage of the 37 delegates, selected in a process that began in May with the formation of 88 local councils in the city of 5 million.

This is great to see. What's going to be even greater is watching things start to happen.

Amen, my friend. We've reached the tipping point. The "growing" insurgency the press loves to talk about is a sign things are progressing forward.

When you look at all that has happened and in the time span that it has happened,.. it is nothing short of miraculous.
Then when you add into the equation the hopeful prospects for the middle East with Israel and Palestine, it honestly takes ones breath away... (that, or I'm just holding it).
Regardless.. when you hear what the troops have to say, and when you "look" for the positives.. you can easily find them. Sadly, the leftist media is so concerned about power, that they constantly mention every negative thing they can in an effort to undermine this President. Perhaps one day we will have a media that loves the country more than their own political affiliation.
It must be very lonely to be a liberal these days. It must cause extreme conflict in a persons soul to try to demean this President like they do.. then to see how much the troops love him. Considering the sacrifices that are being made.. I don't know how they live with themselves.
Today, Gen. Franks in his retirement speech said "Bring it on".. it was an obvious effort to back up his Commander in Chief. It did not go un-noticed.
Thanks for posting the "truth" John. You're very good at doing that.. ya know? :o)
Also.. take a look at this thread. If you haven't already.
