The first person brought up was Katrina Leung. From the title of the article, one would have hoped that the discussion would have been about McCarthy's finding someone who was more than 1 year old at the time of his hearings.

This one made me laugh . . . HARD: “There’s nothing wrong with socialism. Much of Europe is socialist...”

As if old europe is suppose to be a good example to follow ? pffft

Why is it the default position of any liberal that
because it's "european", it's good ?

Bad news about one of your favorite composers:

"An AP story of May 10, 2003, said that FBI documents released under the Freedom of Information Act show that the FBI “wanted to prosecute Copland for perjury and fraud for denying he was a Communist.” No such prosecution ever took place. It said Copland’s music was pulled from President Eisenhower’s inaugural concert in 1953 because of concern about his Communist ties. AP quoted Terry Teachout, a New York-based music critic and commentator, as saying, “He was involved with the Communist Party up to his ears. Whether or not he was an actual card-carrying member of the party, nobody knows.”

Info on Copland starts in paragraph just before subtitle "Red Tunes"

While this is a good article, Kincaid bounces all over the place. It would have been much better had he chosen a theme, made his points in logical order, and closed with conclusions.

Katrina Leung, Brian P. Regan and Ana Montes have zip to do with Joe McCarthy.

The media have had 50 years to get the story straight but still can’t present the basic facts to the American people....

Reason enough for the American people to hold the media in contempt.
