[history]
Filmmaker Mel Gibson, whose upcoming movie on the last 12 hours in the life of Jesus has drawn charges of anti-Semitism from Jewish and Catholic scholars, is shopping his film to a more receptive audience: evangelical Christians, conservative Catholics and Orthodox Jews.

I saw Gibson's portrayal of King David. It was awesome through and through. I think many are going to be pleasantly surprised with how well acted this film will be. Not to mention the fact that I think he will pull no punches.
One thing is for sure.
Thank God the british accents will be gone.

If Richard Gere made a movie about Budda we wouldnt be having all these groups condemning the movie.
It's pretty amazing to watch all the underhanded contempt for all things Christian.

"...It's easier to declare yourself a gay drug-addicted kleptomanic than a born-again Christian. Saying you are a born-again Christian at an elite Hollywood party is like wearing a swastika to a B'nai B'rith fund-raiser."And that's the line of the night. He certainly knows how to make a point, doesn't he?

He wasn't exactly getting standing ovations at the 9/11 benefit concert either. The path to satori, moksha and nirvana, or Vegas for that matter, has many peaks and valleys. This alarmed the Catholic scholars at the Anti-Defamation League, who said using a nun's writings in a movie "would directly violate Catholic teaching." What the?

Or not. Top ten grosser of all time. It will have a relatively slow build because there will be many repeat viewers. Lots of non-movie-goers will be coming out to see it too.
To: TLBSHOW
The film shows graphic scenes of Jesus being whipped and crucified. Such violence is historically accurate, and the crucifixion was viewed by early Christians with such horror that it was several centuries before the cross was used in decorative art and in churches.

>>The actors speak only the main languages of first-century Palestine: Latin and Aramaic. Mr. Gibson only reluctantly agreed to add subtitles. <<
Probably sell more tickets that way.
