On 3 July, 2003, ABC News announced that the government has presented information leading to the federal indictment of eleven men who had trained in the woods of Fairfax County, Virginia with AK-47 style assault weapons. According to the government, the men had also participated in warlike paintball games to practice military tactics in Spotsylvania County and had practiced shooting at various shooting ranges.
Of the eleven indicted, one name stands out: Mr. Randall Todd Royer, who has served as a communications specialist and as a civil rights coordinator for the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR). The government alleges that Mr. Royer trained with the Lashkar-e-Taiba (army of the righteous) group, a Kashmir terrorist group that is listed on the State Departments international terror list. Lashkar-e-Taiba is reportedly linked with al-Qaida, the Islamist terror group behind the September 11, 2001 terror attacks.
Mr. Royer, along with his alleged co-conspirators, has been charged with a variety of firearms violations and attempting to mount a military attack against a friendly nation, India.
This is not the first time that CAIR has had its officers arrested for Islamist-terror related crimes; Mr. Bassem Khafagi, CAIRs director of community relations was arrested this past January and Mr. Siraj Wahhaj, CAIR Advisory Board member has been named as one of the unindicted persons who may be alleged as co-conspirators in a plot to blow up monuments in New York City several years ago.
Once again, CAIR has been embarrassed by links between its senior leadership and terrorism. How long must we wait until the federal government takes those steps necessary to investigate CAIR as a terrorist sponsoring organization?

Okay, guys, here are two threads begging to come together. The Japanese like to hunt people with guns. Israel is fixing to unleash 350 murderous Palestinian terrorists.... both things are bad... but together, they could work!

"Grover Norquist a Conservative Exposed as Terrorist Sympathizer..."
Yes, he is. And his fellow "supply-sider" Jude Wanniski (sp?) was revealed as a nut years ago for supporting Calypso Louie Farrakhan (probably didn't spell that right either).
Calypso Louie is not known to me as a terrorist, however, so that is one thing.
I'd like to see Fox News, et al stop inviting these CAIR people on as guests. They need to be de-legitimized in every way.
Folks here want an anti-abortion amendment to the constitution, a death penalty amendment, an anti-gay marriage amendment, etc. Maybe we should consider an Anti-Islam amendment. Because you see, CAIR IS actually MAINSTREAM Islam, and they mean it when they say they want Islam to take over America. They are NOT joking and we ignore them at our peril and our children's peril.

Why was Sami Al-Arian in the Bush White House?
Alternatively, Grover Norquist, the founding co-chairman of the Islamic Institute -- an organization that has played an important role in its own right in facilitating the Bush team's outreach to groups whose leaders and activities have repeatedly excused terror and/or opposed the administration's aggressive pursuit of the war against it -- asserted in an interview circulated last week by NewsMax.com, that Messrs. Khan and Tulbah "were merely underlings carrying out decisions made by more senior White House officials....The people making decisions are Presbyterians and Catholics, not Muslims.'" The issue is not their faith; it's their judgment.
At Odds With Bush's Strategy
Whoever is responsible, their behavior has seriously disserved President Bush, and risks becoming more than a mere political liability if it is allowed to persist. In a recently released document entitled, The National Strategy for Combating Terrorism, the Administration declares:
Together with the international community, we will wage a war of ideas to make clear that all acts of terrorism are illegitimate....We must use the full influence of the United States to delegitimize terrorism and make clear that all acts of terrorism will be viewed in the same light as slavery, piracy, or genocide: behavior that no respectable government can condone or support and all must oppose. In short, with our friends and allies, we aim to establish a new international norm regarding terrorism requiring non-support, non-tolerance, and active opposition to terrorists. The United States will work with such moderate and modern governments to reverse the spread of extremist ideology and those who seek to impose totalitarian ideologies on our Muslim allies and friends. (Emphasis added.)
The Bottom Line
Sami Al-Arian -- and those who share his extremist views, defend his conduct and have tried to legitimate him politically -- are not on President Bush's side in the war on terror. They should, therefore, be seen as unfit to be by his side in implementing his strategy for winning that war.

Immigration and Naturalization Act (INA) Section 212(a)(3)(D), Immigrant membership in totalitarian party.-
(i) In general.-Any immigrant who is or has been a member of or affiliated with the Communist or any other totalitarian party (or subdivision or affiliate thereof), domestic or foreign, is inadmissible.
No amendment needed. Might not even need a new law. All that's required is an administration willing to call Islam what it is, namely a totalitarian ideological movement, and apply this existing law, INA 212(a)(3)(d). No more Muslims would be allowed to immigrate and those here with green cards could become illegal aliens subject to deportation.
