Well, Ann Coulter makes to #2 two on the New York Times Best Seller list. Quite the accomplishment since she did not have the media love fest that fawned all over Hillary Clinton. "Living History" is still listed as number one, but I suspect that will not last much longer. Hillary Clinton's book career has seen its best days! I urge all who want to see the Clintons destroyed to go out and buy Ann Coulter's book, if you have not already done so. Let's collectively make Ann Coulter #1 on next week's best seller list of the NYT!

Her work is neither a scholarly nor a competent examination of contested issues that constitute the playing fields of today's political debates and community concerns. You are obviously no fan of Ann's. Which books out there would you recommend that are scholarly and a competent exam of today's concerns, that are appealing to the general public and delineate the political debate?

Must be another screenname sold on Ebay.

Try Cosco, Barnes & Noble, Amazon.com or any of the conservative web sites. Was in two different Barnes & Noble this weekend in north Texas and found large Ann Coulter's book displays in both stores. Were at least equal to Hillary's book. Salesperson at one B&N told me Hillary's book was not selling well at all. Cosco had no Hillary books and only four Ann Coulter books left. He said he had reordered already. He also added north Texas is not Hillary Clinton country! Was treated well at all stores and the sales folks were very helpful!

The real loss caused by her book is that the conservative message, to which I am a firm adherent...
Perhaps your adherence to our principles is not as firm as you imagine. :o)
I am only on her FIRST chapter, so I cannot yet fully comment on your analysis, beyond noting that Ann is of course a partisan (a fact for which MANY of us are extremely grateful!) - and as such, she believes that the "competing perspectives" to which you wish she would defer are already sufficiently represented in the mainstream media.
So far, I am amazed at how thoroughly I had personally accepted the extraordinary character assassination of Senator McCarthy, and welcome the reexamination of this man's charges that Ann's bold assertions will certainly stimulate in "the playing fields of today's political debates and community concerns."

(If Lawton Chiles runs for the Senate seat in 2004, we will **really** have Jurassic Park in Florida)
