One of the special guests attending this July 4th dedication ceremony, in Philadelphia, was there to receive the City's "Liberty Medal." It was Justice O'Connor. Justice O'Connor was heard to say, "We could have all been killed!" 73 year old, Justice O'Connor was unhurt. Mayor John Street was hit on the shoulder. Senator Arlen Specter was struck on the arm. The center's president, Joseph Torsella was struck on the head, but was able to walk to an ambulance.

Yep, I bet the dems are working on a tactic right now, to propose that it was a secret plan, formulated by the Vast Right Wing Conspiracy to kill her to replace her with someone who will vote correctly for a change.

What is almost too much to bear is the thought that Justice O'Conner, who should be impeached for moral turpitude on the basis of that Texas sodomy ruling, might instead be nominated by the President, Mr. Bush, to be Chief Justice.

Note that the people who celebrated her got the worst of it, for people who make bad decisions are nowhere near as rotten as the people who applaud them for doing so.

An Act of God perhaps reflecting the state of the constitution? Perhaps Sen. Specter can rehearse the trajectory of its falling path.

A heavy frame surrounding a mural came crashing down right in front of the first row of these special guests at the ceremony.

Sounds like an episode of "Murder She Wrote."

It was obviously an attempt to "frame" her!

Too funny, HM-BA...well put! Sen. S is probably hitting the books to see if this act violates "Scottish Law!"

"What is almost too much to bear is the thought that Justice O'Conner ... might instead be nominated by the President, Mr. Bush, to be Chief Justice."

If this happens, many Bush supporters will drop the President like a bad habit. These conservative Republicans will simply stay home in Nov. '04.

"We could have all been framed!" also would have worked.
