TAPE: 'SADDAM IS ALIVE'
Arab television station al Jazeera claims to have an audio tape from Iraq's deposed leader Saddam Hussein.
On the tape, which is understood to have been recorded last month, Saddam claims he is still in Baghdad and living with a "comrade".
"I tell you that I miss you, miss you oh beloved people even though I am among you and in your ranks," he told Iraqis.
He also called on his countrymen Iraqis to protect resistance fighters and not help the "US infidel occupiers".
With attacks on US and British soldiers increasing, the voice addressed Iraqis, saying: "Oh brothers and sisters, I relay to you good news. Jihad (holy war) cells and brigades have been formed."
On the quick collapse of his regime, the voice said, "We have sacrificed the government. But we will not sacrifice our principles or surrender.
"We refused to hold onto power if that meant submitting to the American threats. They wanted to occupy us without a fight and destroy our pride."

Did he make a tape with Bin laden too? Sorry, but I think Saddam and OBL are dust.

Has Al Jazeera ever heard of Elvis?
To: Sub-Driver
If he's alive, why not go to the center of Baghdad for several hours per day and stand in the spot where his statue, now destroyed, once stood.

They confirmed the tape as real because they had Elvis singing his new song in the background.

In that same 7 - 11 the Weekly World News sez that Saddam is preparing to spring Marth Stewart to re-do his diggs.

Legit or not, there are a lot of Iraqis who are going to believe this. I think we need to offer citizenship as well as money to informers and their families. Millions of dollars aren't much of an incentive if they have to be spent in Iraq...

You're not alone. I think this statement is what we westerners call an oxymoron with emphasis on the MORON.

Here is what Saddam/imposter is trying to say (IMHO).
We could have stayed in power if we caved in and became George W.'s Cabana boy, but we were too burly and macho to do that, so we fought honorably and lost, rather than to submit to staying in power under the conditions of the great Satan.

The Iraqi's that looted all the gubmint buildings now have a new get rich plan. The $25k and $15k bounty for Sadamn & Sons. At the same time Predator unmanned aircraft are orbiting overhead waiting for the prey to make a fatal 10 second error. The last thing they will hear is the scream of the approaching warhead.
