Police spokesman Dewayne Tully said three of the six demonstrators were holding 3- to 5-foot-long copper, wood or bamboo pipes or poles in a "striking position.'' Their defense is that these poles were sexual aids.

Jesse Sanford, 25, said Gay Shame was at Sunday's parade to denounce Newsom because they feel his politics are divisive and that he doesn't truly support the gay community. And guys like you, Jesse, are inclusive?
At least they named the group correctly. They really OUGHT to be ashamed.

"District Attorney spokesman Mark McNamara said Wednesday that the felony charges of threatening a public official, conspiracy to threaten a public official, and conspiracy to commit a crime were dismissed pending a formal investigation." Yep, that's Frisco alright. Drop charges before the investigation.
The city gov has no right to complain when demonstators trash the town and chew up tax dollars.

"the group had absolutely no intention of harming anybody"
That's not relevant! The groups' intention doesn't even matter. What matters is what did the Supervisor PERCEIVE the threat to be ...??

They approached Newsom in an allegedly threatening manner.
With copper pipes. Newsom is running for mayor and is more of a conservative.
