July 3, 2003 -- HAVE you ever noticed that whenever you hear liberals talk about what's great about America, they often end the sentence by noting that America's greatness lies in the right of all citizens to criticize her? That's true, of course, but it's a little like saying intimacy is a good thing because it allows people to say really nasty things to each other. It's like they're looking through the wrong end of a pair of binoculars, which gives them the impression that America is a cramped, tiny and unpleasant place.

It's like I've been saying for months now... Whenever the Left insisted that they "support our troops" while engaging in nothing but military-bashing.
I repeatedly inquired whether these same people "support their children" by vehemently criticizing every thing they do.
No answer was ever forthcoming. It would have exposed their hypocrisy too plainly.
