[history]
While Gov. Gray Davis squirms under threat of fiscal collapse and the drive to oust him from office, Arnold Schwarzenegger preens on national TV, pumping up today's release of ``Terminator 3'' and stoking talk of a run for governor.
Box-office receipts are still in doubt for the latest installment, but Schwarzenegger's reprise of his most famous role has given him a commanding stage from which to taunt the Democratic governor.

The Magically Mysteriously Hyped Arnold Tour Bus leaves in 5 minutes. RINOs do not get a FRee Pass, so don't ask for one. Thank You.
``He is getting what is called in the political business,
free media,'' said Marty Kaplan, director of the Norman Lear Center for the study of entertainment and society at the University of Southern California.
``He's good casting for a farce.''
I wonder how he does in debacles 8-?

The governor does better against Darrell Issa, a Republican congressman from San Diego County, or against last year's Republican nominee for governor Bill Simon.
But Davis does worse against state Sen. Tom McClintock, R-Thousand Oaks, or Schwarzenegger.
Issa and Arnold could do this state a BIG favor and get on the DRAFT TOM wagon.

(Recall Gray Davis and then start on the other Democrats)

Who are the guys/gals who are handling/advising him?...what's they're agenda/politics?..anyone know? Their only agenda is to [shamelessly] plug a movie that, during the last Lord of the Rings movie had a trailer where Arnold said "she'll be back" and everyone laughed at it, so he is generating alot of buzz about this movie-to get a big opening weekend. When the word of mouth gets around of how plotless it is, it will disappear.
The key point here is Arnold is not running.

I saw T3 last night, and while it is heavy on action, and low on dialogue, it's really really good. It's far better than it has any reason for being, especially after that trailer to which you refer(although that scene isn't as bad when you see it in context). I suspect this will be one of the best movies of the summer.

I saw T3 last night, and while it is heavy on action, and low on dialogue, it's really really good.Color me surprised. I really enjoyed the plot of T2, so did most people, so they will expect it to follow up logically, I'd ask question on how they explain making another movie when the last one tied up all the possible loose ends, but I'm sure I'll find out when I see it.
The studio execs were doing limited screenings with almost no press, which is a tell tale sign for a big sequel that they know they have a problem. Can't say about the Governor talk though, maybe that is a new trick.
When Die Hard 4 comes out look for a rival studio to put out rumors of "Bruce Willis for California Governor!"
The governor does better against Darrell Issa, a Republican congressman from San Diego County, or against last year's Republican nominee for governor Bill Simon. But Davis does worse against state Sen. Tom McClintock, R-Thousand Oaks, or Schwarzenegger. What a way to bury this gem ... 3/4 of the way into the article! Anybody got the poll details?

When the plot of your movies revolve around time travel to change the past to change the future can you ever really "tie up all the loose ends."
Regarding Willis - is he a resisent of California? He has dne some nice campaigning for GOP candidates - has he ever mentioned running for any office?

Tread carefully with that poll. It was done by a Teacher's union and their poll numbers will be so biased against any challenger to Davis.
