I noticed the same thing a couple years back when some democRAT pol from Lousianna got busted for something. The whole news story on CNN and MSNBC neglected to mention party affiliation. The same was true for their online spinnings of the story.
The same can be said for crime stories, unless its a white on black story, race is not an angle. Its funny how you can bet good money on the race/sex of the perp by how the mainstream media open the story.

Even when the Condit story was everywhere, it was typically about "Congressman Condit" and not "Democrat Congressman Condit" -- very different from the coverage given to "Republican Senator Bob Packwood" whose forced departure from the Senate would ultimately allow Tom Daschle to be Plurality Leader for a year or so. Nice story, but wrong factoid. Bob Packwood's depature from the senate did nothing to elevate Daschle. The Republicans held a majority at the time. Daschle briefly claimed leadership during the fall of 1996 after Packwood resigned to avoid expulsion and when the Republicans were without a majority leader due to Bob Dole's honorable resignation to run for president.

I paused at that point, too. I guess the author is suggesting that it is not much different geographically and demographically.

Wouldn't be easier to go to Berkley, California and conduct reasearch there? If there burning flags, selling anti-Semetic material, and praising Saddam, its a liberal!
If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, and qacks like a duck, its got to be a liberal!

I wouldn't give too much weight to this. After all, isn't it a well-known fact that a RAT politician in Louisiana is required to have at least 3 federal indictments on his record?

How can one spot a Democrat in Leftist establishment media coverage? If the individual has done something really rotten, and yet the story says nothing about his political party, then the crook is a Democrat. How to spot a liberal? Well, remembering that there are no longer "liberals" but only "progressives" it is a bit harder, but if the rotten pol appears to be a tabula rasa, a "blank slate," then he is...liberal.
PING LOL Posied woman, this rather backs up my post earlier tonight, does it not? LOL Thanks lando for the good article.

"If the individual has done something really rotten, and yet the story says nothing about his political party, then the crook is a Democrat." That is so true. I am referencing this one on the voter fraud thread.

Several years ago, I was in a watering hole and some yahoo was going on and on about how "it's only right" that a republican is about to be strung up. He was talking about "Republican" Gary Condit. I enjoyed listening to him yammer on and on about what a crooked guy Condit was. After a while, I mentioned that the small r which might normally denote "Republican" was in front of his name and it meant Representative and that Condit was, in fact, a Dimocrat. He left pretty quickly after that info. Ok with me.

Thanks for the post.
Let's think...is there any other woman who held statewide elective office in a Southern state who was rapped up in controversy surrounding the November 2000 elections? Well, there was Republican Katherine Harris who was a member of the Republican Party and who was part of the Republican administration of Republican Jeb Bush who certified, lawfully -- unlike Phipps -- election results which earned Republican George W. Bush, son of Republican...
Perzactly!

I can spot a liberal across the street by the way they walk....they slither, actually. Nothing upright about them.

Good catch, CJ! But how could this be true? We all know there's no bias in the left-wing media.

So true, so true. You can still spot the male Dems and libs just by looking at the tie no matter how often the press stays mum. Holy Cow those guys buy some ugly ties.
