Safest place you can rob, period. No one is allowed to have a gun and the dog is run on a regular basis to keep it that way. LOL. Smart thief.

The beauty of "gun-free [school] zones" -- only criminals will have guns there. This is what the anti-self-defense crowd wanted.

Suprised that he didn't rob the lunch register. 500 students at 1.85 for lunch (or so) ... close to 1000.00 sitting there undefended.

But more painful if you are caught. Look for this guy not to get probation anytime soon if caught.

One thing you can tell from what isn't written is the robber was black. The Tennessean(Pravda on the Cumberland) doesn't print a description unless the robber is white

Are you sure about that? If I recall correctly the opposite is true. I could be wrong tho. I have to check.
Cheers!!

Sec. 53a-217b. Possession of a weapon on school grounds: Class D felony. (a) A person is guilty of possession of a weapon on school grounds when, knowing that he is not licensed or privileged to do so, he possesses a firearm or deadly weapon, as defined in section 53a-3, (1) in or on the real property comprising a public or private elementary or secondary school or (2) at a school-sponsored activity as defined in subsection (h) of section 10-233a.So,if you have a CT permit, you are then LICENSED to do so. I have a permit, so it's kind of important to know where you can, and cannot go.
Their wording is on purpose so most people (for whatever reason) WON'T go there w/gun.
They also say that "it's not advisable" to carry a weapon into a place that serves alcohol...not advisable, however, NOT illegal.

ALL the teachers and administrators at my children's school are armed. (That's why we homeschool.)

The kids probably purchase a meal ticket and just get it punched as they go through the line. Very little cash goes through the lines around here anyway.
