Please, don't deride me for this but you know who put this in perspective for me?

Noam Chomsky, if you can believe it. He said the two political parties are in cahoots. He claims that they make noises and stuff but they actually enact each others' agendas. Who passed Welfare Reform? Who gives you the prescription benefit in Medicare?

Spooky. Think about it.

I think virtually every third party says the same thing. George Wallace coined it, about "not a dime's worth of difference."

I've seen that idea mentioned numerous times here. You're not the first and I'm sure you won't be the last. I fear there is too much truth in it.
