Former N.Y. Governor's Son and Late Senator's Daughter Announce Separation
The Associated Press
WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. June 30 A marriage that united two prominent Democratic Party families is in trouble.
Andrew Cuomo, son of former New York governor Mario Cuomo, and Kerry Kennedy Cuomo, daughter of the late Sen. Robert F. Kennedy, announced Monday they are separating after 13 years of marriage.
"This separation is amicable and the couple does not wish to comment further," said a statement issued through Kerry Kennedy's brother, Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
The Cuomos have three daughters.
Andrew Cuomo is a former U.S. housing secretary who ran unsuccessfully for New York governor last year. Kerry Kennedy is a human-rights activist.

I guess Boston getting the 2004 Democrap convention over New York has some serious consequences.

Thanks for the PING Howlin. Let's see if Andrew tries getting an annulment like his brother-in-law did.

Guess this means Andy's political career is down the tubes.
Can't decide which is the worst political evil....the Kennedys or the Cuomos.

I've reported you for anti-Catholic bigotry. The Catholic Church does not require money for annulments. And when a marriage is declared null, the children are not, and are not deemed, illegitimate.

The Kennedys --- there's more of them.

Poor Andrew, Apparently Clinton sent the message down that, once again, Andy, for the good of the party, has to let the black man win.

BTW: I am not of the view that Catholic priests and bishops can do no wrong. This marriage should never have been allowed to be celebrated in a Catholic church, since both the bride and the groom were and are notorious pro-aborts. The proper thing to say, for any priest who is approached regarding a possible annulment, would be: "I don't see why I should even start the process of petitioning for an annulment, since both of you clearly are not believing, practicing Catholics. When you have publicly retracted and apologized for your support for baby-killing, I will consider initiating the annulment process."

She kind of looks like Ellen Degeneres.

The election results proved that the marriage was flawed.

Pretty good reason although even a Kennedy didn't go to Notre Dame and defend abortion as Catholic Mario Cuomo did.

Too late. The Catholic church should have made THAT stand years ago when abortion first hit the headlines. What they have done is made it clear that the Catholic church is against abortion but followers can make up their own minds.

"I've reported you for anti-Catholic bigotry."
Hmmm a prickly Catholic who can't handle criticism. Yawn. This "bigotry" barb is a bore. It's over used and not applicatible to my remarks. The truth about the Catholic church is obvious for all who wish to see. Take off you blinders!
"The Catholic Church does not require money for annulments. And when a marriage is declared null, the children are not, and are not deemed, illegitimate."
Actually they do. This was in the book by Joan Kennedy. By golly is the marriage is nulled and the kids are NOT deemed illegitimate, then what the heck does the Catholic church consider them if they don't recognize the marriage? I'm game for more insanity ... tell me.

Why do you hope that this gets ugly?
A family is breaking up. Three children will now come from a broken home.
Shame on you. I will never understand people who get joy from other's misery. Shame on you.

While agree with the gist of your argument, Arthur, I'm afraid that future events are likely to prove NMH correct. I would not be willing to wager even money on the Church turning down an annulment petition from either of these clowns so that they can re-marry in another media extravaganza. Sheila Rauch Kennedy was not even a Catholic, yet she hit the nail on the head when she wrote her book about the scandalous annulment industry in the US Catholic Church.
To: nmh
Actually, it was in the book by Robert Jr.'s ex. I don't recall any book by Joan Kennedy. If she wrote a book, and included this myth, then shame on her.
When a marriage is declared null, the Church is declaring that the bond was seriously defective, but it does not declare that there never was any bond, or that the parties were knowingly "living in sin," fornicating, or any such thing. And the children of such a marriage have NEVER been considered illegitimate. This is a complete myth, something insisted on by bitter ex's like the former Kennedy wife or wives, and by anti-Catholics.
Your assertion that I'm a prickly Catholic who "can't take criticism" is laughable. Do a search on my name, why don't you? You won't find anyone more critical of the Church's REAL faults (as opposed to tired old myths circulated by bigots).
