The court is not stupid,

LOL!

You would never know that from the statements made the past few days.

I think the court in their way did what they felt was the right thing to do, but they have indeed upset the apple cart.

I applaud the court for getting government out of the bedroom, but we gave up a states right to make law limiting what many believe to be a immoral relationship.

But is it not the case that all decisions do the same.

Some want to have a constitutional amendment on marriage yet do we not take that away from the state as well? Each time we ask the federal government to take on a responsibility, we take it away from the state to do or not to do. This has been going on for many years. Decades in fact.

Can it be stopped? Reversed?

Yes, I believe it can but not in my lifetime. A steady pressure on the rudder will eventually turn the ship of state. But, it will take as long as it took for the pendulum to swing in the direction it is going now and some major government failure will likely be required to do it any sooner than that.

Some here on the forum have been quite critical of me lately and view some of my thoughts as RINO, CINO and even liberal, but what is needed takes a very long time to accomplish and cannot be done in days, weeks or even years. It takes a social awakening. Whole societies awaken slowly and I believe that is happening as we speak. But the time will be generations long to see the results. I just don't get too excited, waiting for the outcome. I just keep plugging along and advise my kids to advise theirs. In the mean time, we do have a life to lead.

I'll tell you what, I went to a homeschooling conference this past weekend and it was anything but your most conservative(in dress and attitude) type of homeschoolers--when I say that I mean fear God and hide types. There is a revolution brewing and just like was mentioned many time over that weekend, I think Christian homeschoolers are raising a generation of fighters. You would not believe some of the teens and young adults--products of homeschooling--that made speeches this weekend--they were articulate and could use very persuasive argument besides the Bible(which let's face it, is needed if we are to convince people who are not all that moral). Many of the ones I ran into this weekend are looking not to raise docile followers of Christ, but warriors who can witness to Christ by using the secular's arguments against them. And we aren't talking militant kooks here, we are talking about young adults who plan to do the liberal mo and infiltrate gradually into colleges, churches(imagine that having to take churches back from libs), and decision making areas and turn it more conservative--PRAISE GOD that Christians are finally realizing they have to take a stand and have to work IN THE SYSTEM to make it change. I know homeschooling may not seem large in numbers, but these kids have the power to change things--look at the small number of liberals who got us to this point! I came out of that conference not only with confidence in my decision to homeschool, but confidence that quietly warriors for Christ whose aim it is to change this nation are being educated RIGHT NOW! Those in public schools taught the secular drivel will not be able to compete with such persuasive orators as I witnessed this weekend. When those who are peer dependent finally grow up these other children will be influencing this country as ministers, lawyers, professors, politicians whose sole aim is to return this country to it's wonderful roots and start a revival of which we've never seen.
