(New Black Panther Party Leader) Quanell X, Young Republicans see eye to eye

The New Black Panther Party leader was invited for what was billed as an "open-minded dialogue" during the group's annual meeting.
The crowd, mostly white males, warmed up to the bombastic leader once he said he does not hate them or other
whites, supports the GOP's stance on family values, opposes affirmative action, and belongs to the National Rifle Association.
But the most spirited applause came when Quanell X described Democrats as "pimps" who often trick blacks into supporting them, only to betray them once elected.
Quanell X also had caustic comments about the Republican Party, which he called a "house divided amongst ourselves." He said many Republican leaders fail to support their colleagues during controversies, offering as an example Sen. Rick Santorum of Pennsylvania, who came under intense criticism this spring over his comments against homosexuality.
"Too many Republican leaders were silent," he said. "Too many of them didn't even support the man."
Quanell X also faulted the party for not reaching out to blacks and warned that the GOP can no longer ignore black and Hispanic voters as their numbers increase. "It's incumbent upon you to begin to make inroads into our community," he said.
He also said, however, that the black community could solve its own problems rather than look to politicians, whom he describes as people who practice "poli-tricks."
One member of the Young Republicans said his opinion of the black activist had changed. "I thought he was a militant Black Panther who was antiwhite, and I've completely changed my viewpoint on him," said Clayton Hagerman, 23.

"It's incumbent upon you to begin to make inroads into our community,"Umm, didn't he just say that he agreed with Reps on affirmative action, family values, and other various sundries?

The Young Republicans seem to be a gullible bunch don't they? It doesn't take much to impress them.

The gullibility of these kids takes my breath away. Quanell X has been on Hannity & Colmes many times spewing garbage. He'a racist thug.

But the most spirited applause came when Quanell X described Democrats as "pimps" who often trick blacks into supporting them, only to betray them once elected. True, very true. The Republicans need to work with black leaders who are NOT pimps, who will work in the black community and develop the self-reliance and personal sense of responsibility of blacks.
But the Black Panthers, whether New or Newer, lack the basis for trustworthy self-reliance. For that you need time-tested values, such as those supported by Judaism or Christianity. Our public schools have tried to find non-religious substitutes and have dismally failed.
Without some firm commitment, you will inevitably sell out to the highest bidder.

Quanell has nothing to do with the likes of Sharpton or Jesse Jackson. He too is beginning to see the light when it comes to White Democrats keeping blacks on the plantation.
Here in Houston, we could use a "shake up" in the black community after all the "fun" we have had with Lee (period) P (period) Brown as of late.
Hey...if Dennis Miller can come around to the GOP...maybe Quanell can too.
I had the opportunity to be on "talk radio" discussing something (I forget but believe it had to do with the Yates who drowned her kids) and when Quanell came on after me...he agreed with me...to be honest I almost drove off the freeway...but "sometimes" common sense overcomes poly-ticks...

This is good.
Some African Americans are seeing the light and I support this. Like Jews (I am one) it seems that a younger generation just might be able to get away from the Dems.
