Howdy Texas Freepers. I can't find where anyone posted a thread about our luncheon today in San Antoniom so thought I would in case any of you wished to post pictures. For those that didn't make it, we had a great turnout. Those in attendance were Jim Robinson, Mrs., and Chris, plus Jim's brother, Ms. AntiFeminazi, Slyfox,SWake,PetroniDE, RikaStrom, Guido, Hocndoc & Mr. Hocndoc,TXBubba, Blastus and their two children, Tall Texan, IVote2 & Mr. IVote2, Mil-Vet & Mrs. Mil-Vet, RimTop 56, Sockmonkey, TxGrandMom, Ravingnutter, BenR2,TheSarce and Gracey.
Now that's pretty good for an afternoon turnout in Texas, considering people came from Houston, Dallas/Ft Worth, Austin, Canyon Lake, Kerrville, New Braunfels and many locals from San Antonio area.
The food was wonderful, the company was magnificent and it was just plain GREAT spending time with our favorite freeper Jim Robinson.

Great pictures. Thanks. Saving them to my hard drive. What a great pleasure to meet (or re-meet) all of you and especially to shake JimRob's hand and tell him how grateful I am for letting us all share his online playpen.

It was truly wonderful seeing everyone. Sorry for the delay in posting, Monday sort of took of with a vengence!
I agree with Mil-Vet, we could have gone on for a couple more hours had the chairs allowed! LOL
You have done a wonderful thing Jim and it was an honor to meet you and your family.

I loved reading the report and seeing the pictures.
If any of you get to Fresno, let us know so we can have a change to meet our fellow FReepers.

Thanks for the ping Guido! I was across the pond in the UK last weekend and missed the festivities. It looks like fun and I'm sorry I missed seeing JR and all the other Freepers! I joined the RBW's club and miss your attendance.

I know I have been a bad girl. But I found my schedule too much. I had to definately give up the community and youth chairmanship because that really took alot of my time. And then my Dad got real sick and passed away in March. But that is where most of my time was spent from Jan. till then. I just couldn't spread myself thin anymore. I had committed to working as a volunteer at my sons middle school every other thursday answering phones and now that he is going to Clark High I have been asked to work every other Friday as a volunteer. My little one is starting a new school (the school he should have been going to when we moved 2yrs ago)and I am already on the PTA Board there so that will also keep me busy. Yes I still work, but that is what I mean, I have to pick and choose what I get into and still find time for myself and husband.
This gathering was a fun one. Was able to go because it was down the street from my home. I don't get to attend all the many ones that they have in Austin, Lakeway etc...
I guess I should have freep mailed you on this but didn't think of it till now. Nice hearing from you and keep in touch. patti

Thanks for the compliment!
Although one Texan H/D'd me, it is nice to see my Texas friends remember me. I miss you guys.
You know, rite around the time of this San Antonio event, I felt something was missing from Califronia...and I guess it was Jimmy being in Texas. (I don't really know him that well, but pretend I do by refering to him as "Jimmy" LOL)
I wanted him to come HERE with me, I have an "in" at Nothern California bookstores, and could get him first in line.
I am going to ask him if he will go to the Hilliary Book Signing in San Franscisco on Aug 5th.
I will even spring for the book...
I think it would be ironic to have Hilliary look him in the eye while rubber stamping a book for him.
I didn't ping him to this, I know the net et a quit thingie, but I have to approach him with this very stealthly. Don't tell anyone.
:>)
Just as an aside, some time ago at an Art Show in Dallas, we were invited to go to San Antonio to see the Alamo, but complications made it impossible. I want to go there sometime. (I never forgot the Alamo)

I am so sorry it took me so long to reply. We lost our cable modem this past week and I'm just catching up.
We enjoyed meeting everyone!
Here are some pictures I took, I apologize that I don't have all the names of everyone there. I'll try to be better organized next time. (Click on the image if you want to see a larger version.)
TXGrandmom, Slyfox, Gracy, who is as sweet in person as she seems from her posts.
Benr2 and Guido, a sparkling, charming woman full of fun!
Ms. AntiFeminazi, Jim Robinson, Sheila and Chris
I hope someone will help me with the names for this photo. Unfortunately Ms Antifeminazi has her back to the camera in this shot, Gracey is next, I think SlyFox is to the right of Gracey, TX Granmom is next.
Mr Hocndoc and Hocndoc, and I am sorry, I don't know the others.
Orville Robinson, Mrs MIL-VET and MIL-VET, Mr Hocndoc and Hocndoc
TallTexan and Mr. IVote2
Ravingnutter and TxBubba.
I missed a couple of people, TheSarce and several others, including TxBubba's two children who are super kids and her sweet husband. I truly hope I have all the names correct, if I don't I apologize, I will do better next time!

Modem trouble! You could say that! We had to have the wire replaced from the box to the house. I think I shouldn't have mentioned my connection in any way shape or form!! WHEW!

Well thank you so much for the compliment. I was fun because I was with fun people. You were a hoot I must say. You right away gave me the impression that you don't mess around when it comes to politics and you certainly know your politics. You go girl. You and your husband are a remarkable couple and it was great to meet you.
You know what the problem is right, its the VAST LEFT WING CONSPIRACY that surrounds you in AUSTIN that is disrupting your cable. LOL

Thanks for the pics IVote2! I almost always have a camera with me, but it was SOOoooo early when we left Dallas that morning that I never even thought about one.
The people you couldn't name are, from left to right: Rikastrom, Petroni-DE, and SWake.
I love Texas freepers and we had such a great time on Sunday.
To: IVote2
Superb pics (except for my ugly mug)! Thanks for posting.
One small correction: The FReeper on the left (next to TXBubba) in the bottom pic is RimTop56. (Ravingnutter was seated nearby, but is not visible in any of the pics you posted.)
I'm impressed with your use of HTML!
It was a great gathering.
