I agree, being heard is one thing; but, it has gone past that. Look at all the organization the liberal socialists have done over the past decade. Look at the funding they have.

People follow money. Money puts ideas in different packages.

There's been many a libertarian who has said "don't legislate your morality".

Because legislation properly concerns violations of individual rights.

When we start legislating morality, the question becaomes "Whose?"

Shall we all be required to keep kosher?
Shall we stone adulterers?
Shall we imprison people who harm cows?
Shall women be whipped for not wearing chador?

Libertarians also argue you should be allowed to freely associate, or not associate as you wish. All laws regarding discrimination, except those prohibiting government discrimination, should be repealed.

And what bothers me is that the conservative message a lot of times gets drowned out because of all the infighting among the different factions. Sometimes they attack their own for not doing 100% of what they want instead of realizing you don't get everything overnight but have to do small steps which will lead to larger ones!

Frustrating at times!

Please tell me how "society" gains more rights than the individual possesses on their own.

"Societal rights" are sophistry. Just because more than one person bands together, that does not expand their reasonable purview. If ten of my friends and I establish a town on some podunk road, do we have a right to enact a law which says every woman coming through town must grant us her favors? If not, why not? We're a "society", and we're declaring our "rights" in law, aren't we? If it's ten thousand, or ten million of my friends, does that make our law any more of a "societal right"?
