Hollywood-
Hero Petition
We Support Mel Gibson and his film The Passion
We, the undersigned support Mel Gibson and his film, The Passion
We believe that it is important to show the powers-that-be in Hollywood that there is grassroots support for a courageous firm depicting one of the most revered moments in Christian history without being maligned and shunned by decision makers, distributors and bigots
Mel Gibson has made a fortune for studios over the course of his career and was rebuffed when he brought this project to them
This film to date has no domestic distributor to bring it to our movie screens

Hollywood isn't exactly known for having a lot of Christian producers, executives, directors and distributors. In fact, when you look at the anti-Christian sewage that oozes out of Hollywood's bowels, you just knew that Gibson would be given a hard time on his 'Passion' movie. Even so, it's remarkable how much resistance Mr. Gibson's movie is coming up against. This thing goes beyond a culture war, it's an outright religious war declared on Mel Gibson and Christians in general. If Gibson's movie was about the Russian 'pogroms', or the holocaust, how long do you think it would take those Hollywood movie distributors to come knocking on Gibson's door?

Signed (incognito). I am very intrigued regarding this movie.

There are still heroes in Hollywood. It is an honor to sign this petition in support of Mel Gibson.

signed, and GOD BLESS YOU ALL...
Mel Gibson said that the HOLY GHOST was working through him during the making of this film, and I believe him 100%+.
The movie cost $25 million dollars to make(Mel Gibson money), and I know in my heart and soul if this movie is release to the theaters that in one week alone, that it will make over $25 million, it's about time to show a GOOD MOVIE about GOD and GOOD, not all thhe evil junks that comes from hollywood like evil, demons, gayship, raping, violance, killing, lies, deceptions, hatred toward each other, wars, breaking up the families, and the list goes on & on....
Most of all of Mel Gibson's movie had been hits....like "The Patriot", Signs, Braveheart,Mad Max,and "WE were Brothers" and more...
I am happy we are fighting back on this, because it will do good for the world...This is why, the DEMON-crats in hollywood don't want the public to see it...
It would be a GREAT IDEA and thing to do, if George W. BUSH helps Mel Gibson...

Be careful with John!
It seems that according to a bunch of Freepers(?) here that John is a Catholic book of wizardry or some such bull.

Even so, it's remarkable how much resistance Mr. Gibson's movie is coming up against. This thing goes beyond a culture war, it's an outright religious war declared on Mel Gibson and Christians in general.Honestly, I think that is really paranoid. The film has questionable marketability because it is in a foreign language with no subtitles. I don't think it has anything to do with being anti-Christian.

The film has questionable marketability because it is in a foreign language with no subtitles. Au contraire.
I predict that the film will be a huge commercial success here in the States, not to mention other parts of the world. Here's why:
1. The ostensibly evangelical Protestant population of America is pretty large, and I think most every one of them is going to see the film at least once.
2. IF Mel holds to his original idea NOT to put in subtitles, there is a large number of this same population which is going to be familiar enough with the gospel accounts of the passion that they are going to view the film as a kind of puzzle: Can I figure out from simply watching the screen when Jesus is saying this or that? Or Peter is saying so and so? and so forth. It is this part of the experience which I think is going to generate tons of repeat viewings by evangelicals.
3. The Catholic population of America is going to see the film, every one of them at least once, since Catholics (much less Christians generally) seldom get much favorable media attention. Mel is going to become a folk hero for conservative to moderate Catholics (though I expect the liberal Catholics are going to sprout a forest of hemorrhoids over this film).
Again, the more Biblically literate among them are going to watch it multiple times, comparing the film as they watch it with the gospel account which they already know (or read just before seeing the film).
You heard it here first.

We'll see..... no point in me telling you I think you are wrong, because we will find out if this gamble works when it happens.
I know that I will watch it if it has subtitles, but probably at home rather than theater.... and I doubt I will watch it if it doesn't.

I don't know about Hollywood being run by the Jews, but Christianity is run by one.
