I watched her & Spencer in "Desk Set" last week. She will be missed. I am sorry she was an avowed atheist. Other than that, she seemed like a really intelligent person.

Typical liberal from a privileged family, she was nevertheless one of the greatest actresses of all time. She had wonderful talent, and I enjoyed watching her in many movies, among them "The Lion in Winter", "The Philadelphia Story", "Adam and Eve", "On Golden Pond", "The African Queen", "Rooster Cogburn", and many others.

"Desk Set", that's the one I forgot! That's one of my favorite movies.

Ms. Hepburn, God bless you and keep you. You were kind, beautiful, principled, and strong.

The world is better for having known you, and now less for having lost you.

Mr. Peel and I saw "Bringing Up Baby" for the umpteenth time last week. It never gets old. You'll be missed, Kate.

I enjoyed her performance in The Philadelphia Story.
If only today's actresses could be a lady like she was.

Yes, she was another Hollywood liberal, but not to my knowledge a publicly crusading one. In her passing I prefer to think of her best roles -- some you mentioned -- also liked "Bringing Up Baby" and her very first one, "Morning Glory." A giant of the screen, to be sure.

The African Queen is one of my first movie memories, and still one of my best.

The Lion in Winter, great. Desk Set is maybe my favorite. Loved her in African Queen too.

I remember a news item of her shoveling snow in front of the her hotel after some snowfall here in Toronto years ago. This was in the 1970s IIRC.
