Let's legalize the posession and sales of of ricin, C4, anthrax, and plutonium. "Just because I want them leagalzed doesn't mean I'm going to run out and do any harm with them."

I don't suppose you see something odd in a government having the authority to ban you from owning atoms? Or bacteria?
Ah well. Just must be me.

I think folks such as Nero, Trajan, and Caligula said the same thing

Big difference between Christians and Fundie Freaks.

We have societies/cultures in order to behave by certain standards. (Trust you're with me so far, this is pretty basic. ;-)

We're changing the standards now. Your time is over.

A nice long rant to tell me that you think you have the right to impose your religious values on the rest of us by force of arms.

You don't. And history has already decided that.

You'll notice you lost the last battle (gay sex). Want to bet odds on whatever the next one is? 3 out 5? :)

Got me, DA. You're right. We'll all just give up. No matter that Christians believe in the fundamentals of our faith -- of course the ones who do are wrong! We must all be careful not to believe what is central to what we believe. Of course! But of course this can't include a fundamental right to anything... like property, either.... Too bad. I really wanted to trade weapons grade plutonium, and cocaine on the open market. The Merc may yet get to place puts and takes on such things though, if you and President Browne get your way.

The next battle: Why not that -- weapons grade plutonium owner's rights? You champion the cause. We'll see how far you get.

Sure, we've all lost. Can't even elect an Evangelical Christian president, anymore. We're all so discouraged, since you and the Clintonian amoralists have won. History never moves, once some people make a decision, afterall.

The alternative of reality:
Values will never ceased to be imposed. That is life. They will either be imposed sensibly or nonsensically, but they will never cease to be imposed. And as the drafters of the 2nd Amendment and Mao both realized, "Political power comes from the barrel of a gun."

Hahahahahahaha!!!! Outstandingly uproarious!!! (Is there a "boogie-man" hiding under your bed, too?)

Here are the "religious values" that this "fanatical Christian/Evangelical/Bible-thumping/extremist zealot" would like to impose on you DAnconia55:

(1) "Render unto Caesar what is Caesar's, and unto God what is God's." (I.e., the moral code is not something that any just, legitimate government can impose. Morality is simply not something that can be imposed at all, without violating the dignity and sanctity of the human person.)

(2) "Love thy neighbor as thyself." (I.e., live and let live).

In a civil society, the second is either predicated on the first, or it doesn't happen.

Would you like me to explain these points in greater detail? (Forgive me for saying it, but perhaps your religious bigotry disposes you against such a sensible notion.)

Why the heck is this crude monomaniac even here? He's not conservative in any way, he is personally abusive, offensive in his descriptions of his personal sex life, and unendingly lying and rude. FR is supposed to be somewhat free of in-your-face grossness. He would do better at some of the XXX chat rooms I've heard about.
