What kind of Republican would boo a totally appropriate joke about ex-KKK Robert Byrd? The country-club set of moderates.... the PC RINO'S who wouldn't say sh!t if they were neck deep in it.
BINGO!!!
And they wouldn't say it if they had a mouthful, either. But out here in The Hinterlands, we love the honesty and appreciate the fact that it's coming from an entertainer with the wits and stones to stand up to Hollywood.

Actually, I think it more likely that the audience was saying "ooooo" as in "Oo, that's a good one. Reuters interprets things in their own smarmy way.

I always figured Dennis Miller just might be independent enough to come to the light.

Miller Emerges as New Voice for Bush Re-Election Excerpt:CRAWFORD, Texas (Reuters) - A new voice has emerged in the re-election campaign of President Bush (news - web sites), that of Dennis Miller (news), who is gaining a reputation as a conservative comic by attacking Democrats with biting humor.
Miller flew on Air Force One from San Francisco to Los Angeles with the president on Friday, and later gave a stand-up routine at a Bush fund-raiser in Los Angeles.
"I spent an amazing couple of hours with Dennis Miller," Bush said during his Los Angeles speech after Miller's routine. "He keeps you on your toes."
He added: "I was also honored to meet his wife, Carolyn. Like me, he married above himself. It may not be all that hard, in his case. But I'm proud to have his help."
Please let me know if you want ON or OFF my General Interest ping list!. . .don't be shy.

What kind of Republican would boo a totally appropriate joke about ex-KKK Robert Byrd? A Democrat plant. An operative posing as Republican. California's GOP is full of them, unfortunately.

While I never considered Miller a liberal (he always seemed a small "l" libertarian to me), I can't believe how completely "on board" he is for Bush.
Imagine how completely aghast the lockstep liberals in Hollywood are. They probably think the CIA put something in his drink. In fact, I'll bet Oliver Stone does a movie about it.

Well, this is quite a turnaround from what he seemed to be just a few short years ago.

My thoughts exactly. What Republican would boo that bit about Byrd. Must have been the press core.
To: dufekin
Perhaps they were booing BYRD, not the joke about Byrd. That's what I was thinking.

It will be interesting to watch the psycho-left try and call a guy as quicky, witty, and intelligent as Miller an "idiot", and demonize him as "low brow", etc.
Miller's far too smart for them, and it won't stick. I do know for certain that Miller's recent conservative slant has sent many liberals over the edge...like off the edge of the world, over the edge.
Take a look sometime at the stuff the DU'ers are saying about Miller, it's hysterical. He's their new Anti-Christ.
I love the smell of leftist hatemongering in the morning...

If so, what made him change his views?
