For those following the series, this is the 1st excerpt from Volume IV. Cleaning up some loose ends off the coast of Florida.

For those who have been following the series, here's the 1st excerpt from Volume IV. I believe most folks will recognize the fictional parallel to events of 1999-2000.

This fictional tale is set six years in the future, after a grueling 3 1/2 years of war where hundreds of serious terrorist attacks occur on US soil, killing tens of thousands and wounding many more.

In the series, clear and direct ties for some of the terror are established to the Cuban leader...resulting in this operation just before an invasion.

Thanks for the sneak peak. I'm almost finished w/ Vol 3, and in my opinion, the excellent storytelling continues. I especially like the parts about the 'Independant Republic' and it's contributions to the war effort.

BTW, have you seen the reports about India and China conducting joint naval exercises? Who would have thought, huh?

Hey, it's a fictional work in progress. This is an excerpt from a follow on volume in the series that is not complete yet.

Give me an alternative for a Ranger group performing close in work like this. If it passes muster, I'll use it and update the site and the manuscript.

Thanks for those kind words. The Independent Republic and it's ability to spread and dissiminate information over the net quickly (just as in real life on FR), is something I had to get in the novel at the opportune moment.
