He's also a Methodist and I was one for many years even after being saved. You don't learn anything much in most Methodist Churches about salvation or about the Holy Spirit. Perhaps he needs the baptism of the Holy Spirit to receive the fullness of the Holy Spirit, as his guide and teacher. Many are born again. Not all are filled with the Holy Spirit. I personally believe that makes a great difference in how you live the Christian life.

When we accept Christ we are filled with his spirit and complete....
I went to a pentacostal church and got to know people who claimed to have been baptised with the holy spirit...
They were some of the worst people I ever knew !
There have also been many pentacostal evangelist on T.V. that have been down right criminals and perverts ...
Just my opinion from my own life experiences as a born-again christian.
I also know many Methodist who truely love the lord, and Catholics, and Lutherans, and Baptists, and well it is a pretty long list...God knows who his children are and they go to many different churches. And they are God's church.
