Don't laugh, Rus, but although I grew up in Florida in 'Before AC Days,' and lived in South Carolina, North Carolina and Virginia, the very hottest and most miserable time of my life was one summer in Rochester, New York!

Accustomed to frequent breezes to make life tolerable, a few days of 90's there, the heat reverberating and intensifying in the asphalt jungle of the city, were the worst I have ever spent.
Even at night, it was ovenlike.

I'm not laughing, I know it's true.
It can get miserable here in Buffalo too.. When it get's hot the humidity stays high cause we are right on the water.

The hottest I have ever felt it was when I was in Laughlin, Nevada and Bullhead city Arizona. It was 128 degrees and humidity around 60%. The construction job shut down at 11:30 in the morning. I consider that 5 weeks in hades..
