Well, let me jog your memory a little bit. This is from your post number 65:
But as word FINALLY started reaching "the outside" about what was happpening under Taliban rule, the idea of going in a getting rid of them, grew in support.
I reviewed all your other posts and you don't contradict this anywhere. Perhaps I am misunderstanding you here but this is distinctly referring to pre 9/11 Afhganistan and the effect that reporting on the situation can have. The support that came after 9/11 had nothing to do with the evils of the Taliban becoming known to the public. It had to do with the fact that Afghanistan was where the bastards that killed Americans were living.
It's too late after they've already occurred.
You noticed that too huh? Well, if the Iranian students don't get their hands on some guns pretty soon, it might be too late for them as well.
Should we do something about the Congo, Sudan, zimbabwe, YES.
With what? And how? And at what cost?
I want the media to grab onto this story and not let go
That's fair enough.
Put the scare in them first. Stay out, see what happens.
Why not arm the Iranian opposition and let them put the scare into the mullahs? It's their country after all. See what happens sounds kinda like "poke it with a stick and see what happens". The Iranian people need a little bit more than political voyeurism in my opinion.
