Ann Coutler's new book Hidden and undersold by BORDERS-Hiilary all over the store

Just went to Borders on Broadway near Wall Street in New York City to buy Treason by Ann Coutler. Only 8 copies of her book were displayed on a stand to the side that wasn't even facing the door. When I bought it - it was 30% off I got a dirty look by the pretty Gen Xy college student cashier. She even made a point to check the back of my credit card to see if the signatures matched up - they seldom do that.

On the other hand - Hillary's book was displayed all over the palce! In the front in the back, on carts EVERYwhere! There were hundreds of Hillary books strategically placed all over - when you walked in you were faced with a wall of Hillary!

The bias will never end!

I'm not a really frequent customer, but I've had nothing but good experiences with Amazon. I got my Harry Potter the day it was available in stores.I've also had good luck with their used sources for books and videos.

Very typical when you buy it in advance. I stopped placing advanced orders and wait for the release date if I want a given book in a hurry.

Borders in Las Vegas had a stack of Hillary near the entrance, no Treason in new releases, and had to look somewhat hard to find a display by the center info desk.

I got mine in the mail yesterday and read the first 90 pages last night. She really takes the left on over McCarthy and how the left made him out to be the villian just like Ken Starr was castigated over Whitewater. I thought she did a very good job. I always thought Mc Carthy was one of the good guys and was given a bum rap by the libs. If the libs do not like the message then kill the messenger.

Here in Tennessee, Hastings seemed to have the same problem...last night, Hillary's mug was right at the front enterance and all throughout the store while there was only one copy of Treason left, which I grabbed. There are two possible explanations for this: Either they are placing these books like this on purpose as many Freepers believe or Ann is outselling Hillary to the point where they can't keep her book in stock.

Hmmmmm... too bad. I just started buying from them. And now they suck.

I have been buying books (and other items) from them since I first came online in 1997. They may not suck all the time, but it's just that they are now so inconsistant and unpredictable. (And the fact that they use UPS almost exclusively doesn't help matters, but don't get me started on UPS.)

Now it is a roll of the dice to order from them. Your milage may vary.

I should say, however, that I browse their website quite a bit. I like to read the customer reviews before I buy books.

That's something brick and mortar stores can't offer.

The Wal Mart in this North Mississippi town have Hildabeast's book all over the place and Ann's book nowhere to be found. The same can be said for Pattersons'Derelection of Duty in the Bookland and Walmart. Bookland had Ann's book buried in the stock and Hildabeast's book on the best seller's listing and prominently displayed all over the store. Derelection of Duty was also buried in the stacks at Bookland. Savage's book is also back in the shelves. The leftist lying demoncraps own North Mississippi.

Be careful. While your sentiments are understandable, interfering with the display of a private bookstore could well be a chargable offense of vandalism or some other misdemeanor.

I'm opposed to such actions, on the basis that we're supposed to be supporting small business and their right to do business as they choose.

You would be better off to find the manager of the store, complain to him in person, then shop elsewhere if you're not satisfied with his/her response.

Don't break the law in your effort to make your point. It won't change the bookstore's attitude, but could end up getting you fined.

Huge Dallas Borders store report: 35 copies of Hillary in multiple front locations facing out. No "Treason" in bestseller section. Searched for 5 minutes and finally gave up, employee showed me the way; hidden back near the coffee checkout counter halfway thru the store. Ridiculous. I can't wait to hear about the 200,000 plus Hillary returns. Dallas is very republican I might add, but one glance at those snippy librarian glasses on the employees tells it all.

Putting hitlary's book where patrons will trip over it will not make it sell.
But, liberal book store owners will not understand that.

I saw Hills book at my grocery store for 25% off the 1st week it was released. New York just does not know any better. . .

In my little town of Lexington VA, neither of the two book stores has the book at all.

Went to the first one and the clerk had never heard of the book nor had it on order -- unbelievable.

I went to the second store, and they agreed to order it for me (full price) but then the clerk sneered as she remembered who Ann Coulter was -- "Oh, that awful woman!" or something to that effect.

At that point I almost withdrew my order, but I let it pass -- I noted that she had Hillary's book on the window and that I thought SHE was awful but I was still in her store as a customer, and that she should therefore be grateful and more judicious in her comments.

Seems, as Ann pointed out in SLANDER, that both the publishing business AND the bookselling business is more concerned with political correctness and liberal politics than it is with basic commerce -- strange.

Anyway, I got my copy today, and am in chapter 2 -- enjoy!

Nope, not kidding at all. Interfering with a business is a misdemeanor in most jurisdictions. Turning displays around deliberately would certainly qualify, as would moving books around or otherwise interfering with the legitimate business decisions of the business owner.

You can't do it without breaking the law.

I read some of the threads about her appearance on Hannity and Combes. I don't have cable but I did hear Alan Combes radio show interview with her (most of an hour).

He would not let her speak (5 words in he would be interrupting and then he'd complain that she didn't answer his questions). He kept asking her to name a name on the left who was a traitor. Easy. Scott Ritter sold out his loyalty to Saddam. Whether it was blackmail or just a payment, he compromised his objectivity and operates in defense of Saddam's regime in Iraq.

She did admit that people don't get tried for being traitors much in America (even "Tokio Rose" and Axis Sally got off eventually). Lord Haw Haw was executed in England but there is speculation that if he had been permitted to return to America, he would have lived.

A lack of willingness to prosecute does not lessen their actions. She did eventually mention Jessica Lange and some others, they did speak out against America on foreign soil (but then so did X42 when he was a college student).

Ann said that since Jane Fonda was never prosecuted (and she posed for photos on an antiaircraft gun in Vietnam), it is unlikely that we will ever seen them prosecuted.

Try www.bamm.com (That is Books a Million). I have had very good luck with them and if you join their club you get an even better discount.

I still found Harry Potter cheaper at Sam's after I had bought it online.

Just popped in to a bookstore at Northlake mall in Atlanta that had a gazillion copies of Hillarys work of fiction displayed but none of Treason. When I asked about the location the saleslady actually glared at me and rudely informed me that if she had any it would be in the back of the store under current affairs.
