Well, well, well....I wonder how long they were in Iran before they were "captured?"

Egypt is not that fond of Zawahiri, what with his involvement in the assassination of Sadat & founding Islamic Jihad (I think); Kuwait would be quite willing to turn abu Gaith over to us in a heartbeat. I don't think Egypt will turn over Zawahiri to us, although we do give them a TON of money each year, which we might use as leverage. And what would be the country of origin of Osama's son?

Naw, but they could let him clean the Ship's Mess, especially after breakfast. (Lots of Bacon and Sausage). No Gloves.

Then bring drop him at Gitmo.

What a coincidence, that the Iranian regime should suddenly acquire a bargaining chip like this, at a time when it is crucial for them not to have us actively support the opposition movement. Will wonders never cease?

I do not think any of the countries of origin will want any of these guys (if it's true at all).

I think it is a way to give the Iranian government breathing space.

However, if these people are truly in custody, then there is just no way that Kuwait, Saudi or Egypt will take these people. They have a following at home and the revolution is just under the surface for all of them, and besides people have a habit of dying in custody in Saudi and Egypt.

UBL's number 2, was already in jail in Egypt, but escaped or was allowed to escape, to get to the reasons behind you would probably have to ask Mubarak himself, as he is thought to have had a hand in the Sadat assasination.

There is a joke about the assasination in Egypt which states that when Sadat was shot he was on the ground and put his hand up for help and shouted Hosni, Hosni help me please, and Mubarek replied, it's not Hosni it's President Mubarak.

I have an idea for the 4th. Douse this bastard with jet fuel, duct tape him to a giant firecracker and drop him off the Sears Tower.

Then we can all look up and go "Oooh, Aaah".

Of course that would discourage future terrorists. Can't have that, can we?

I'd like to see what's going to happen--if this report is true. However, we do give Egypt billions each year and we can be very persuasive....as far as bin Laden's son, it depends on which one--and his sons could've been born in Saudi, Sudan, Afghanistan & Yemen, I do believe.

I'm not saying I believe this report, but I'd be remiss in not flagging you to the news. [Keeping fingers crossed without holding breath.]

I'm looking on Google on this one and I can't find it, though al-Arabiyyah may just be repeating what's been floating around for awhile. Al-Zawahiri was allegedly first seen in Iran in February 2003, Saad bin Laden in October 2003, and Suleiman was reported there back in May, though he may be out of a job now that this Thabet bin Qais character has allegedly taken over as the spokesman. The Iranians keep on saying that they have al-Qaeda they won't identify in custody and are going to deport them, but they've been saying that since May and now it's almost July.

Could it be true? Sure, stranger things have happened. But I'd just like some more confirmation that al-Arabiyyah before I start udulating.

This would suggest what has been suspected if not known as fact already: al Queda's management found refuge in the Islamic Republic after the war in Afghanistan. We should now reduce that government as an object lesson in the WoT.

Bush warned the world not to harbor terrorists. The POTUS should not be seen to be making idle threats. That's what happened under Clinton and it got us whacked on 9/11.
