WASHINGTON (CNN) -- In Friday morning raids, the FBI arrested at least seven men suspected of having ties to a foreign terrorist organization, government sources told CNN.
The men are believed to be linked to Lashkar-E-Taiba, a Kashmir separatist group that the United States designated a terrorist organization in 2001.

A special prize for the person that can tell us which "al-lied" country is the birthplace, base of operations, and chief supporter of this Lashkar-E-Taiba terrorist group.
Anyone?

This is the same group to which the Australian, Hicks, had trained with. He was later captured in Afghanistan.
From Islamonline:

Elsewhere, last week, Australian officials said they captured a 26-year-old Australian fighting with the Taliban in Afghanistan.
The Muslim man, from Adelaide in South Australia, was seized by the Northern Alliance.
Attorney-General Daryl Williams said Canberra had been advised the man was in good health, but would not disclose where he was being detained and said his identity was being withheld to protect his family.
He said there was a possibility of charges against the man under Australian law, but declined to canvass what they might be, reported AFP.
The Australian had also fought with Muslim forces in the former Yugoslavia before traveling in November 1999 to Pakistan, where officials say he trained with Lashkar-e-Taiba, a group active in the liberation of Kashmir. He went to Afghanistan the following year.

While reporting the Red Fort attack on December 22, 2000, sections of the foreign media described the Lashkar as a Kashmiri militant organisation. It is not. It is a Pakistani organisation based in Pakistan and operating from there. It is a member of Osama bin Laden's International Islamic Front For Jihad Against the US and Israel. The wrong perceptions abroad about this organisation need to be corrected vigorously. - Source : "Lashkar e Taiba: A Backgrounder," by B.Raman, Sapra India aticle, http://www.subcontinent.com/sapra/terrorism/terrorism20001227a.html. , Date: 27 December 2000

No hints? Is the "special prize" something like $3billion?

It's one of those organizations which Pakistan knows is a threat to it if allowed to have a free reign in Pakistan (it's declared that Pakistan's government is not "truly islamic"), but one which Pakistan's more aggressive elements considered to be useful enough against India to be worth the risk to themselves.

The wrong perceptions abroad about this organisation need to be corrected vigorously. Reading the news reports of this arrest, these misperceptions are still out there...most likely on purpose.

$3 billion...you wish :>)
But you do get to call your Congressional representative and let them know that you do no wish to have your tax dollars support terrorists.
