Schumer must've got this idea from a conservative and because he's up for re-election, he's jumping on it.
He could never formulated this idea on his own. It's a foreign concept to him and his kind.

There sure are strong objections to Wahhabi at the Senate hearing on cspan2 and similar suggestions being made by those testifying.

No, but the military's designated certifier of Muslim chaplains is the
Wahabbi Graduate School of Islamic and Social Sciences in Virginia.
Wahhabis in the Old Dominion
by Stephen Schwartz
04/08/2002, Volume 007, Issue 29 - Weekly Standard
"Front groups interfacing between the Wahhabi-Saudi money movers under federal suspicion and the broader American public include two institutions active in the religious field: the International Institute of Islamic Thought (IIIT) and the Graduate School of Islamic and Social Sciences (GSISS). The involvement of GSISS with the financing of extremism is especially startling in that it alone is credentialed by the Department of Defense to certify Muslim chaplains for the U.S. armed forces. Barzinji has appeared on the boards of both."

Great acorn comment for the nut. He is Conservative ONLY when it is his acorn that is being stolen. Where Oh where were these liberals when there was a need to keep intelligencer agents in the field instead of mandating more computers that Congress didn't fund?

Maybe some good will come of this. I wonder what NY's junior senator thinks on this issue. He's just ticked off that the junior senator is being considered to replace Daschle. He's probably trying to set himself apart from her on this issue and force her take a position on it.

The surest way to be trampled to death is to stand between Schumer and a TV camera.
God is not without an uproarious sense of humor in making the ever delightful (and newly blue eye contact lens wearing) Hillary his "Junior" Senatorial partner.

Remember how Hillary was caught red handed with money from the American Muslim Foundation? To be fair, Grover Norquist also was pushing Islamist money and people toward the Bush White House.

Wow.
Seems like Hillary better get back to the bus real quick.
He's going to force her to stand on principle or shut up.

As far as I know, no GOP Senator has had the b@lls to bring this subject up.
I hate agreeing with Schmuckie, but for once, I do.

Without getting into a discussion on the opportunistic reasons for DemoRAT Schumer's rant, he has brought forward an issue that resonates with the public, including me.
Freepers have been pounding on this from the gitgo. Why hasn't a Republican publicly come up with this a long time ago? Why do we cede the forefront on critical issues like this to the liberals?
(BTW, I know the answer to my own question. Republican legislators are afraid to speak out because the word from high command is that "Islam is a religion of peace" and this fiction must be maintained at all costs.)

Here we go. Sounds like "Schumer-arthyism" to me.
Go for it.

Republicans are PC wussie boys in standing up to the Islamofascists. The job of telling the truth falls to (amazing) Smuckie Schumer.

Just goes to show one can never say "never." This momentary RAT severe into sanity should pass, though, and the RATs and their allies will continue to allow the recruitment of violent terrorists through the prisons. Look for where this policy began, any bets that it is RAT inspired?

I'm actually embarrassed to be a Republican, knowing that it took a DemoRat to bring this issue to the forefront.
HOW CAN WE RID THE MIDDLE EAST OF THESE EXTREMISTS WHEN WE CAN'T EVEN DO IT IN OUR OWN BACKYARD? And we have to rely on Chuckie Schumer for answers to this? Something is very wrong within the administration, I think.

Oh, Christian preachers are recruiting violent killers to kill for Christ in the prisons? Suure they are Howard.
There is no such thing as a "Palestinian" these are Arabs (or other Middle Easterners like Arafart) brought together under an assumed nationality to kill Jews. "Palestinian" = Genocidal Killer, it has no other meaning. It is the creation of the KGB and PLO, a "people" created by a terrorist organization at the direction of a Soviet intelligence agency in 1964.

Wow! You're even more against the Democrats than I am, and somebody called my stump speech "'the bayonet in the guts approach' to dealing with Democrats".

I saw on Coulter threads that liberals were railing on about McCarthy being responsible for the concept of "Thought Crimes" by going after communists in government positions. I would like to know where these liberals are now and where were they when "Hate crime" legislation was being pushed through as law.
