Of all the things Strom accomplished, his last day in the Senate impressed me the most. He deservedly chatised Lehey (sp?) in front of the whole Senate and the country. No kidding? Spent his last minutes on the floor of the Senate, flogging a leak-crazy, camera-chasing, selfrighteous Yankee senator? Wait, where have I seen this movie before?
John Calhoun would be pleased, I think.
i believe John C Calhoun, Wade Hampton, Maxcy Gregg and a host others of the grayclad throng met Strom at the pearly gates and that Strom slept in the sheltering arms of the Lord last night;that's a GRAND place to be.
