Of course I have to say this, "You got to meet and talk to Mel for an hour?" WOW!!!!!NO! I only wish!
The author of this article is noted above, Barbara Nicolosi. The title was her Title, I put it in quotes to try to point that out.

SPOILER ALERT
He comes back from the dead.
Seriously, I'm looking forward to seeing this. Why don't they get a trailer online?

The film is faithful to the Gospel, particularly St. John. And best of all is a final look right into the camera of Mary, holding her dead Son. Mary is perfectly portrayed here..... She is contrasted repeatedly with the really super creepy Satan character, who is also a woman (something for the feminist theologians here? heh heh...).
Obviously my bible must be missing a few pages from the book of John...I don't remember any of these scenes....

Oh for Pete's sake! I do hope that's sarcasm on your part, because if not, then you know nothing of the art of movie-making.

Uh, oh...you're asking for trouble...
Seriously, I'm looking forward to the movie too, but will try to ignore all the extra-Biblical Marian undertones.

Arrrgh! I can't believe we have to wait 8 solid months to see it. Can't wait!

If anyone could make it work, it's Mel.
We need this. Badly. We need the reminder of what happened when He died. What He went through for us.
To: Polycarp
I'll see it, just to spite the left and their hateful attacks against the film.
Can't wait to see it.

We all need to make this movie a #1 hit, and let it be known that we have high praise for Mel Gibson.

Speaking as a Jew, I can't wait to see this movie.
Hey, why not? It's about the two most famous Jews in all of history!

Look, the only people that didn't abandon Jesus to His death were John, His Mother, and the other women mentioned. The Bible is silent on a lot of things. The only people who know what happened completely are no longer with us. Their mere presence is a lot more courageous than the rest of His chosen band, 10 of which abandoned Him, and one who betrayed Him. I wish you could let go of your "Catholics are pagans" bandwagon for once.

How do you suppose the Pentecostals will respond.I am a Pentecostal and I plan to see the movie to decide for myself.
However if it is faithful to the gospels then denomination really doesn't matter does it?

"I'm not as active religious wise as I should be. Church poltics really turned me away from it lately. "Ignore the politics for now. Seek out discipleship training. Then you will be prepared and armored and know how to either defuse the politics or at least which side is right.
But to distance yourself is to let Satan win the battle. That's what Satan wants. Don't let him have it.

Jim Caviezel was on EWTN a few weeks ago doing an extended interview. I'm not Catholic myself, but I was impressed with his sincerity in talking about his faith in Mary and how he and Mel wanted to feature Mary with a greater emphasis than she's even been given before in a Jesus film.
This film will be Mel's great vision, and we may not agree with everything in it, but it's cool, IMO, that he's putting his own money behind a project that he pasionately believes in.
By the way, Jim Caviezel looked fabulous in this interview. He has strong screen presence and a gentle but masculine voice. Plus beautiful features and gorgeous long lashes and expressive eyes. I can't wait to see him on screen.
