Is it the internet or liberalism? I think addictions are sprouting off in the liberal world and they are the ones who need to be cut, not the Internet.

Simple solution to stop sexual addiction [in most homes, anyway]: keep the computer out in the living room. Let's see if some obsessed creepo is willing to share his taste for sicko pics in front of everyone in the house. They have to be pretty far gone to do that.

Some may remember the old "Cheers" episode in which Sam, the lothario bartender, attends a Sexaholics Anonymous meeting to cure himself of his womanizing ways. He leaves the meeting with several dates.
That's not what happened. The episode ends with Sam giving a touching testimony about what his sex addiction has cost him over the years, and he finally admits he has a problem. Then a woman gives her testimony, and he asks her out. End of episode.

As awful as this is going to sound...I know a doctor (MD) who is married and has 5 children under the age of 14 who has his computer in the living room and views porn sites with no compunction. As I understand the situation (my wife has counseled his wife on occasion), he has even had his younger children on his lap while doing this and has gone so far as to masturbate while viewing this stuff.
While I believe the sinful human heart is the ultimate reason for this depravity, easy access to porn in the "privacy" of our homes certainly fuels the fire.

What about political addiction? Constantly reading articles and posting replies, searching out every obscure newspaper and arguing over every matter?
I could name a guy who has to post every time half a dozen workers lose their jobs in a machine shop in Alabama...
To: sarcasm
I blame libraries.
LET'S BURN THEM ALL DOWN!

Healing the Masculine Soul, by Gordon Dalbey, would be a good place to start. If you prefer you medicine with a Christian flavor.

Well, most times I can't but help to think that FR is an addiction... It sure takes up a lot more of my time than sex does...

Healing the Masculine Soul, by Gordon Dalbey, would be a good place to start. If you prefer you medicine with a Christian flavor. That's the only medicine that works - the forces of evil in the sexual realm is almost overwhelming.
To: disclaimer
That's the only medicine that works... I believe you are correct. Several generations of un-fathered males are helping to turn the country into a socio-political dump. The more men that make the effort to take their "medicine" and pass that on to their sons, the better off we'll all be.
