Agree, a real jerk. Per NR, you have only his affiliation incorrect: Sen. Chuck Hagel, (R-France).

As far as I'm concerned, Hagel is scum. He never misses an opportunity to slam the President and others in the administration. I suspect he wants to run for president in '04, but knows he hasn't got a snowball's chance. So he's setting himself up for '08 by "separating" himself from the current incumbent.

Hagel never misses an opportunity to bash President Bush, no matter the topic.

Hagel is a globalist scum bag that will, guaranteed, be a prominent GOPer in the primaries heading into the 2008 POTUS election.

And I'm sure we will all be expected to support him if he's nominated.

Hard to believe, but he sounds worse than McCain.

I have for years told my Nebraska friends that he was scum. My opinion is that he's a big One World Order nut, a guy who moved to Nebr from some Eastern area. He's got a sweet deal with the Omaha World Herald involving an voting election results company. I'm close at what I'm saying but need to check out more throughly. Bottom line - SCUM. And another cog in this "Two-Party Cartel".

He's only second to Mary Bono and some other nitwit rapping about music downloads on CNN. Dear heavens. We are completely doomed with these critters.

My kid says there is no such thing as Democrats and Republicans. There ae only Socialists and Communists. I think he's right.

He isn't just "scum" ... When he answeres a question he has to clarify the question by repeating it somewhat so he can think... then his answer becomes completely incoherent.

This man is a true mental midget.

Yep, and he's well on his way to making the same mistake John McCain did, which is to forget who the base of the Republican Party is.

He is home grown.

Hagel served in Vietnam with his brother Tom in 1968. They served side by side as infantry squad leaders with the U.S. Army's 9th Infantry Division. Hagel earned many military decorations and honors, including two Purple Hearts.

A fourth generation Nebraskan, Hagel was born in North Platte, Nebraska on October 4, 1946. He graduated from St. Bonaventure High School, Columbus, Nebraska, the Brown Institute for Radio and Television, Minneapolis, Minnesota, and the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Hagel and his wife, Lilibet, have two children, daughter Allyn, 12, and son Ziller, 10.

I watched as the CNN info-babe introduced them as the ranking Democrat and a Republican Senator.

They always defer to the Democrat.

Hagel is a RIT............

RINO in training!

Wolfstar... I think he's really just very VERY Stupid...

Just my observation after seeing this character in action... the last "air head" token Republic switched...and became a liberal----> Ariana Huffington... she never made any sense either and was the media "Republican darling" for debate.. Hagel is in the same category... This man is painfully DUMB!

He will get LOTS of Airtime.

His life peaked in the early 1970's. It been downhill ever since. Fighting in Vietnam doesn't make them good or worthy politicians. They should be selling insurance.

is one purple heart from a HEAD INJURY? Being a Vietnam Vet shouldn't be criteria for service in the Senate of the United States... take a look at the vet corp there..McCain, Kerry... at least Georgia woke up in the last election.

I did a Google search on this guy and at the top of the page it says, "Hagel presses Bush on Iraq WMD."

What a chump.
