Apparantly the judge likes to have order in his court.
I'd like to have seen him smack the guy with his gavel.

"He went crazy," Daly said.",/i>There you have it folks, this guy is bucking for an insanity walk. If I'm ever in court I'll have to remember this strategy.

Now if you beat up a public defender, are you appointed another public defender to defend you against the defender who failed to defend himself? And what if you beat that one up too?
I'm so confused.

Cartoon of judge lecturing a defiant adolescent standing before the bench:
"You'd better show me some respect, sonny, I had to kiss a lot of ass to get this job."

I'm no lawyer, but I don't think this will help his case.

The judge should be charged with contempt of court for vacating his bench.

I'd like to have seen him smack the guy with his gavel. Remember Cheech and Chong? "Baliff, whack his pee-pee."
To: mhking
He was taken to court from the jail psychiatric ward.....and he wasn't handcuffed and leg-chained when put before the judge?
Good move.

"A man charged with attempted robbery went berserk in a Cook County court Monday, punching his lawyer and fighting with a bailiff and a prosecutor before the judge leaped over the bench and helped sheriff's deputies to subdue the man." Well, I can see he should be soundly punished, but punching a lawyer should be a mitigating circumstance.

I recall a survey a few years ago of the number of judges in NY that carry a side arm while in court was somewhere around 85%.
