One of my favorite times of the year is the issue of the new College Football issue of Street and Smith's magazine. Just saw the new one on the stands. Looks like the Big game of the year will be between Oklahoma (projected #1) and Texas (#3). SS picks the Sooners to be National Champs with Miami #2.
My beloved Razorbacks not rated.
Is Oklahoma's defense really that good? Can Miami reload so quickly?

Miami may have some distractions (i.e., ACC mess) and they have to play on the road at Virginia Tech

We'll see if Va Tech's redshirt freshman Marcus Vick makes a big a splash as his brother did his first year.

Bryan Randall still holds the QB spot... Marcus Vick has yet to win that.

I read this as 'Smith College Football', and thought, you can take lesbianism just too dang far. Growing goatees on gals is one thing, but football?
(Besides, they could easily beat MIT)

I heard there was gonna be a vote today.....BTW..the hot rumor running around is that the Big East is trying to work out a deal with ND to join the conference, yet let them have there separate deal on the TV money..i.e. not have to share with the rest of the conference..it'll fly in a sec..but will make the BigEast look small...and if it happens...then Syracuse and BC don't want to leave.....

I'd be surprised to see Miami finish #2. Gore comes back to start at tailback, but after missing last year with a similar knee inury as McGahee. They have two unproven QB's, and neither is looking that good. They are lucky that both FSU and Florida will be down again this year, or they would probably be looking at a four loss season. IMO.

Yeah, it finally hitting 90 in Chicago. I have been worried it has not been hot enough for good tomatoes. Only got two butterbean vines to sprout this yr. :^(
