A 2nd Edition of Volume I of the Dragon's Fury Series of Novels about World War III has been released. It has been updated for Operation Iraqi Freedom to include characterization and plotting changes that reflect the historical record as it has evolved since the initial release of Volume I in November of 2001.
The changes were written so as to allow Volume I to more accurately reflect current conditions without any impact to any of the other volumes of the book. As a result, all of the other volumes (including the last two that are not complete yet), set further in the future, will not require new editions.
Volume III, "High Tide" of the series was released this Spring and is available in printed and ebook form on Amazon, Barnes & Noble and other on line sites.
Volume IV, "The Long March", of the series is currently being written and will be available in late November to earl December of this year, in time for Christmas
All of the Volumes and their descriptions can be accessed through the Series Main Web Site at www.dragonsfuryseries.com.
I really don't want to post that level of detail or solicitation here on FR.
Best regards.
They showed up when I previewed the thread in the FR posting engine, but did not show up when posted.
I'll reboot here in a minute, a cold boot, and see what happens.
Here's a Semper Fi BUMP back!
Just kidding. Way to go Jeff!
Some of the original readers of Volume I are getting the 2nd edition, but the main thrust was for the folks buying it now for the first time, so that their first reading did not appear too much out of date. Sort of injecting new life into the front end of the sales stream...or making sure it doesn't die out too fast.
All the while, work on Volume IV goes on. It's going to be another 450+ pager and will be out in mid-November or so. I'm almost complete with Chapter Two (and my chapters are usually 40-50 pages long).
I should have a VOlume IV excerpt up soon (next week or so) about some exciting and interesting action in Cuba.
BUMP
That's who I use.
So, it's self-published through my own construct (Alpha Connections which is a DBA for me) using LightningSource as the distribution channel.
When Irish eyes are smiling
Sure it's like a morning spring.
In the lilt of Irish laughter,
You can hear the angels sing. When Irish hearts are happy,
All the world seems bright and gay.
And when Irish eyes are smiling,
Sure, they steal your heart away.
There's a tear in your eye,
and I'm wondering why,
For it never should be there at all.
With such power in your smile,
sure a stone you'd beguile,
So there's never a teardrop should fall.
When your sweet lilting laughter's like some fairy song,
And your eyes twinkle bright as can be,
You should laugh all the while and all other times smile,
And now smile a smile for me.
Chorus:
When Irish eyes are smiling Sure it's like a morning spring.
In the lilt of Irish laughter,
You can hear the angels sing.
When Irish hearts are happy,
All the world seems bright and gay.
And when Irish eyes are smiling,
Sure, they steal your heart away.
Over in Killarney
Many years ago,
Me Mither sang a song to me
In tones so sweet and low. Just a simple little ditty,
In her good ould Irish way,
And l'd give the world if she could sing
That song to me this day.
Chorus:
"Too-ra-loo-ra-loo-ral, Too-ra-loo-ra-li,
Too-ra-loo-ra-loo-ral, hush now, don't you cry!
Too-ra-loo-ra-loo-ral, Too-ra-loo-ra-li,
Too-ra-loo-ra-loo-ral, that's an Irish lullaby.".
Oft in dreams I wander
To that cot again,
I feel her arms a-huggin' me
As when she held me then.
And I hear her voice a -hummin'
To me as in days of yore,
When she used to rock me fast asleep
Outside the cabin door.
Chorus:
"Too-ra-loo-ra-loo-ral, Too-ra-loo-ra-li,
Too-ra-loo-ra-loo-ral, hush now, don't you cry!
Too-ra-loo-ra-loo-ral, Too-ra-loo-ra-li,
Too-ra-loo-ra-loo-ral, that's an Irish lullaby.".
