Unfortunately, the media has already found their line to attack Coulter - "She's defending McCarthy!" McCarthy may have been right, but they've had over 40 years to demonize him, so that any defense of his views becomes tantamount to "She's defending Hitler!"

Oh, so you heard GMA this morning, too? Diane Sawyer, in between gushing over how wonderful it is that the USSC "preserved" diversity (aka race quotas), was just aghast that Coulter would defend McCarthy. It's good to know what your enemies are up to, but in ABC's case, it's hard on the stomach (not to mention the blood pressure).

Hey, she may be shrill, but she gets her point across. And her conclusions are meticulously researched, as the notes show. Liberals for years have gotten away with yelling "McCarthyism" and it's about damn time somebody called them on it. I'm glad Ann Coulter took this on, she may be the only person who could have done it and gotten a serious hearing in the media. Of course, some of her rhetoric is over the top, but hers is an important voice in America and she is putting the fear of God into liberals!!! What is nutty about that????

Conservatives cannot allow oursselves to be forced into the McCarthyism corner. The comment, "defending McCarthy is a losing proposition" just shows how successful the liberals have been with this line of attack and thus how important this book really is!!!

Beg to differ with you. Coulter is not "defending McCarthy". She is objecting to, as well as pointing out, how liberals love to 'deflect' any criticism on their patriotism, by calling it "McCarthyism"!
