I'm with you. Defending McCarthy, who was "right" in the way a stopped clock is right twice a day, is not a winning strategy. Notwithstanding that, we need the Nomex suits, as blonde trumps again.

Beg to differ with you. Coulter is not "defending McCarthy". She is objecting to, as well as pointing out, how liberals love to 'deflect' any criticism on their patriotism, by calling it "McCarthyism"!
If you think this not so, then me thinks your thinking may be more in line with 'Commandante' Fidel.

You might demonstrate where she's wrong, or otherwise, that she's right about attacking the messenger.

Are you missing her point, which is to say, liberals resort to personal vilification/name calling to defend their treason? Coulter bringing up McCarthy, as I see it, is a way to make her point which is not necessarily defending him and is a valid way to make a point. I believe history has proven McCarthy, tho quite radical in his approach, was 100% right on.
America is dying a slow and agonizing death from within and that will continue un-abated until and unless we take back our schools to the local level.

Sorry, but substantial amounts of released documents have proven McCarthy's thesis to be correct beyond any shadow of a doubt. And this is going to continue to be corroborated in the future as more and more old KGB documents continue to be opened up.
