Not completely true. In Rwanda, the Muslims were the best-behaved bunch. It was protestant Hutus, often led by protestant clergy, that massacred the Tutsis. In many cases, the Tutsi refugees had taken shelter in the protestant churches. The clergy often led the extermination squads through the churches.

good points, but due to historical inaccuracies included within, numbered below, the validity of the authors remarks lose much strength:
1) Crusaders stopping Islam in Spain... wrong. Charles Martel (The Hammer) defeated the Islamic invaders @ Tours, France in AD 732 - Crusades didn't start for another 300 years.
2) Referencing William the Conqueror in Spain... "William the Conqueror" happened in England; Battle of Hastings, 1066.
