Much of of the communist activity in that era centered around communist union organizing. In 1929 New York communists came to Gastonia, SC to start a strike against the local textile factory. They promised the workers money and food if they would go out on strike but did not fulfill that promise. Then all hell broke when they killed Gastonia's sheriff. It is because of incidents like this that many Southerners hate unions. The communists let the workers down on their promises and created hardships for all concerned.

#8 "Welcome, Newbie. Now stop instigating."
Re #30 Thanks Taxman!, But I'm supposed to stop instigating or some such thing.
Risking another reprimand, I'd like to say that I'm one of those who will be ready when the time comes. This country was founded by Gun-totin' God-fearin', Wildernes breakin' Men. (and the women who loved 'em didn't belly-ache about hardship, but helped 'em right along)
No one worried about hurting someones feelings especially when they had not INVESTED their lives and work to making this country great.
There is not a Socialist in this country that can stand againts the GOOD STOCK that founded it. At least not once we get good and mad and good and ready. . . .

Thanks. Good to know there is more than two of us who would defend this country.

"Redundant title. If it ain't from within, it can't be treason, eh?"
I didn't think up the title; I just posted it.

Bears repeating:
"There is not a Socialist in this country that can stand againts the GOOD STOCK that founded it. At least not once we get good and mad and good and ready. . . ."
The critical question is, when are the geese going to get tired of getting plucked? Seems to me that we ought to have been "good and mad and good and ready" some time ago -- like between 1992 and 1996?

I know. I was pointing it out as another example of the bad writing that we see so much of.
Sorry if you thought I meant you.

The only people who have not been good and mad, good and ready, are the geese that were fooled by KLINTON and his henchmen. Geese can be defined as illegal immigrants, criminals, welfare folks, and certain miniority groups only in it for hand-outs.
Those sickened by the Klinton Admin. are beginning to realize (with the advent of news like FOX and commentators like Rush, Williams, etc.)that they are not alone in their disgust - that took some time! Non-Geese now understand that the democrats REALLY ARE socialists - something they could not fathom before.
They understand that dems are trying to institute mob rule via welfare states and illegal immigration - we MUST work on our borders and on immigration control. We must, as a group, demand accountability from our Government at the lowest AND highest levels.
If the Bush admin, and the new awakening of patriotism does not achieve what this country needs, I believe we will see some action beyond the voting booth. And it would be necessary.
The thing about being ready, is one can be ready for a long time. I know I have not said exactly what I mean, but I think you get my drift?

As opposed to that foreign treason, in which foreigners refuse to act with loyalty toward our government. All treason is "from within". That's why it is called "treason".
