The urban legend on the car is that you can see it outside the arena, but you can't see outside the arena it's fully encircled.

You can see the sports car on the pace lap in the shot taken behind the chariots. At the top of the screen there's a dark red convertible making turn 1.

Guess I'll have to get the DVD and see if I can get a screenshot of it.
