Interesting points. Somehow I don't think the Egyptian Ministry of Antiquities will be particularly interested in assigning a marine archaeological team to the case. The bureaucratic red tape will be impossibly sticky and tough for anyone else wanting to investigate the site.

No, probably not--especially considering that the Hebrews were the 'ones who got away', and such supportive evidence for the Exodus as written in scripture would not reflect favorably on Egypt (even though we are talking about events of long ago), nor on the current political situation in the Mideast.
From all accounts of those I know who have visited the region, this is a wretched patch of Earth to be fighting over for 3000+ years. Even so, no one is going to want their case weakened, and it is unlikely that full access will ever be granted by any of the governments involved.
Pity. This is fascinating from an archaeological, historical, geological and religious standpoint.

Yes I am convinced as well.
Nobody builds a boat in the middle of nowhere. Especially one that large....the images are stirring. Fascinating find...I also believe his testimony about the Ark of the Covenant...awesome story.

It reveals the primitive's mind when it comes to the possibilities of existence. It also requires one to believe that God would destroy all animals(just because you take enough on a boat doesn't mean billions don't die) just to get at humans when all he had to do was create a virus to kill man or teleport them into the sun. Since viruses were unknown to ancient man, I guess that would be out of the question. Well, when you get to be God, you can do it your way, but until then HE did it HIS way. Just because you don't like it doesn't mean He didn't do it.

All this arguing about the Bible and evolution is like teaching a pig to play the violin----just a waste of time and it upsets the pig---people will debate this until the day Christ returns but then it will be too late to accept Him as your personal Saviour---

Perhaps the chariots of Pharaoh's army were covered in gold?

Thanks.
I quite believe it. Others have discovered such in the not too distant past. Of course the MSM has successfully ignored it.

The brass wheel is modern, either part of some wreck or some junk that slid off a barge, or was planted. I've read that that particular artifact was actually made for a TV show about the supposed Israelite crossing of the Gulf of Aqaba.

:') No, seriously, there are no chariot wheels and axles on that spit of sand under the water; just coral, most of which doesn't even resemble the shape of a wheel and axle. The late Ron Wyatt may be responsible for the supposed brass wheel. And the Egyptians built their chariot wheels out of wood, not brass. :')

A couple of problems here.1.) The bible states after their destruction, the Egyptian equipment was caused to be delivered up from the sea thereby arming the Israelites.
Not that my memory is an exhaustive scripture reference, but I don't remember anything like that... You got a source for that statement??? Reference maybe?

Too bad the evolutionists couldn't find any proof like the Bible archaeologists. Course the Fundamental Atheists are going to say it proves nothing, right!

A Swedish scientist who believes the Red Sea was split says while Humphreys is correct about the Aqaba crossing, there are no natural, scientific explanations for the parting miracle described in Scripture.Sure there is: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thera_eruption
Like about 25,000 Mt. St. Helen's worth of explanations.
I'll wager there have been more debates about this subject here than anything else since the founding of FreeRepublic. Like Delbert said in Oh Brother, Where Art Thou, "I'm with you fellers".
Let me offer my personal favorite, that which is above and beyond debate:
"Meaningless! Meaningless!" says the Teacher. "Utterly meaningless! Everything is meaningless."
3 What does man gain from all his labor at which he toils under the sun?
4 Generations come and generations go, but the earth remains forever.
5 The sun rises and the sun sets, and hurries back to where it rises.
6 The wind blows to the south and turns to the north; round and round it goes, ever returning on its course.
7 All streams flow into the sea, yet the sea is never full. To the place the streams come from, there they return again.
8 All things are wearisome, more than one can say. The eye never has enough of seeing, nor the ear its fill of hearing.
9 What has been will be again, what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun.
10 Is there anything of which one can say, "Look! This is something new"? It was here already, long ago; it was here before our time.
11 There is no remembrance of men of old, and even those who are yet to come will not be remembered by those who follow.
