Interesting points. Somehow I don't think the Egyptian Ministry of Antiquities will be particularly interested in assigning a marine archaeological team to the case. The bureaucratic red tape will be impossibly sticky and tough for anyone else wanting to investigate the site.
No, probably not--especially considering that the Hebrews were the 'ones who got away', and such supportive evidence for the Exodus as written in scripture would not reflect favorably on Egypt (even though we are talking about events of long ago), nor on the current political situation in the Mideast.
From all accounts of those I know who have visited the region, this is a wretched patch of Earth to be fighting over for 3000+ years. Even so, no one is going to want their case weakened, and it is unlikely that full access will ever be granted by any of the governments involved.
