I've just about had it with this State. I've been over on the other thread about the family leaving California. Basically everyone is sick and tired of the immigrants who are the ones responsible for the costs rising so astronomically here. In order to get a job an American born citizen has to speak Spanish!! Our emergency rooms are in total chaos and it goes on and on.

So, I'm asking again where does a person go??

Does anyone know anything about MONTANA!!?

See you on the Nascar thread. : )

Yes.... here is by the Democrats' own admission, all the legitimate justification needed to recall Governor Gray Davis. Make that and the triple car tax the issues in the election. It should be a slam dunk. If DiFi runs, pin her down on where she stands on this. It should be fun to watch her squirm.

"California is broke," said Steve Peace, director of Gov. Gray Davis' finance department. "This is the first time that we've been in a position where we actually have none of our own money. We are operating as of today totally on borrowed cash."

This is the same incompetent moron who had a major hand in the power deregulation fiasco. If California were a private company, this jerk and his democrat cronies would have long been fired by the shareholders. Why do they never talk of decreasing their inflated salaries due to the pathetic job they have done and bankrupting this once great state in such a short amount of time.

"California is broke," said Steve Peace, director of Gov. Gray Davis' finance department.

Steve Peace, the fellow as legislator who rammed the "de-regulation"
(actually RE-Regulation) bill for Califoria energy through the CA legislature.
And may have written the bill...Peace seems to claim the bill as his child and his
name is on it (with a co-author, I think); Peace-defenders say Peace
was "not to blame" for the ensuing mess.

Oh what else is Mr. Peace famous for?
Big player in the production company that gave America a cultural icon:
The Killer Tomato film series.

Yep, that's the guy helping financial wizard Gray Davis run the worlds
sixth-largest economy...

...BELIEVE IT...OR NOT!

The move means that California drivers.... will pay triple the fees drivers now pay, or an average $160 more per car, officials said.

But what about the poor illegals that won't be able to pay this fee? Seriously, as they are one of the main reasons the state is in such a mess, they should have to pay $1600 for their tags. I have to pay for my tag this week and it will be $52. And I thought that was high! lol

Nobody should pay a damn penny of this illegal tax.
There needs to be a massive tax revolt in this state.

"This is the first time that we've been in a position where we actually have none of our own money. We are operating as of today totally on borrowed cash."

The State almost solely relies on begging, borrowing, or stealing for its income since its ability to generate business income is so uniformly bad. Besides, have you ever known thugs who would rather live by the sweat of their own brows than by the sweat of others'?

Illegals don't pay the taxes on vhicle registration because they don't register. We have them where I live. Ten cars and only one registered. The cops refuse to write them tickets.

Thanks, Douglas County Sheriff of Colorado. Next election, prepare you next job. It won't be as sheriff.

" .. running on fiscal fumes " " California is broke. "

And that is why all the department heads are buying themselves Cadilac CTS's on the state's tab. The state is not broke, they just ran out of money to spend on everyone else but themselves.
