What about the newspapers, can they publish a list of names so everyone will know who has been taken in?

Re #37
If protesters keep using this tactic successfully for a sustained period of time, it will be clear to others that the regime is no longer in control. Once that perception holds, a lot more people will join the protest.

Oh, gosh, I hope that happens!
July 9 is only a two and a half weeks away. I would absolutely love to see them attain their goal by then. It would be very ironic if July 4th is the pivotal day.

If 10,000 protesters show up, against 500 armed police, the protesters could prevail.
It takes the necessary courage to lay down some lives, for the resulting freedom.
I don't see that kind of resolve, in muslims and arabs. Period. Yet.
I truly hope events prove me wrong. But I'm not optimistic, because I don't view the religion and cultures as being friendly to REAL freedom.
It is time for freedom loving Iranians to pick up clubs, shields, get organized, take the guns from the thugs, and make a fight for their freedom.
College campus style demonstrations fall short of the required level of revolt. You gotta fight violence with violence.

Re #44
This won't be a so-called "Velvet" revolution. Mullahs are not known for walking off from their power quietly. They have already had enough blood on their hands to do that.
